Applesauce Cake III

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2010
I thought this was delicious. I used a 9x13 pan which was a bit too big, 9x9 as another reviewer used would be better. I cut down the sugar a bit and it was still sweet. The entire cake was gone quite quickly and I want to make another.

Applesauce Bars

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2009
My baking powder might have expired given the discrepancy between my ratings and everyone else's, but I am never going to find out. I should have trusted my gut, there wasn't enough batter for a 9x 13 pan either.

Valentine Cutouts

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2008
The jello and the pudding separated so it looked good, but the pudding had a weird chemical taste (admittedly this could be the mix that I bought) and overall I would have to say the hearts were disgusting. I would just make "knox blocks" firm jello cut-outs next time.

Raspberry Peach Crumble

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2007
I found the topping too salty and would decrease or leave out the salt the next time. Otherwise very simple and tasty.

Blueberry Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2007
I never would have thought of the blueberry zucchini combo, but it's delicious. Following the other's suggestions I did half oil and half applesauce, decreased the sugar - and added the zest of 1 lemon. Fantastic! I baked this as 24 muffins for 25 minutes. I have more zucchini so I'll be making these again.

Cassie's Zucchini Brownies

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2007
Meh. Kind of bland. I'll stick to chocolate wave zucchini bread to use up my zucchini and make something chocolatey.

This cake was so simple and yet turned out very well. Subtle spices, nice flavour and good crumb, nice and moist.

Spaghetti Squash I

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2006
This is the first time I've ever liked spaghetti squash! I added some ground fennel and hot pepper flakes to the tomato mixture, it was good.

Zucchini-Coconut Cookie Bars

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2006
Yesterday I thought they were just okay and a day later I don't care for them. Soggy, greasy, tasteless.

Peach Cobbler II

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2006
This was so simple and very tasty. The biscuits were a bit tough, but I think that was my oven and not the recipe, but it's a warning not too overcook the cobbler.

Easy Granola Bars

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2006
The only change I would make is to bake on parchment paper or aluminum foil since I found it took a lot of patience to get the bars off the pan, and I greased it really well.

Apple Cake VII

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2006
This cake is simple and very good. I cut the sugar in half and chopped the apples instead of grating them - received lots of compliments on the cake.

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2005
These muffins are wonderful. I hemmed and hawed about the chocolate chips, and wondered about substituting raisins or walnuts but I am so glad I didn't. The chocolate chip - pumpkin combo is excellent.

Morning Glory Muffins I

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2004
These muffins are amazing. I didn't have apple butter and used apple sauce which usually makes gross rubbery baked goods but these are delicious. I threw the walnuts into the batter and added a handful of coconut and they still turned out despite my messing with the recipe.
