Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2013
This meatloaf smelled SO good while in the oven!! My dog was literally going crazy because of it. Instead of putting the ketchup and brown sugar on the bottom, I put it on top of the meat loaf. If you don't have saltines on hand, like I did, Ritz crackers work really well. As for the taste, it is very similar to many other meatloaf recipes, but it tasted really good and my family enjoyed it.

Spinach and Potato Frittata

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2013
This recipe did not turn out like I thought it would. The frittata was bland and too potatoey. My family had a hard time eating it. If I ever make this again, I will be slicing the potatoes thinner and maybe adding a few more seasonings.

Cinnamon Sugar Biscotti

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2013
This was my very first time making biscotti, and this is a very easy recipe to follow and understand. I made this for a church gathering and everyone loved it!! Compliments came in masses, I'm not kidding!! Other reviewers said they had trouble with the dough being too dry and crumbly. I did not have this problem at all. Maybe it was because I added the flour mixture in small amounts at a time, mixing it in thoroughly before adding more. The dough was very easy to work with. If you happen to be out of parchment paper, like I was, just spray your baking sheets really well with nonstick cooking spray. It worked perfectly. We dipped ours in melted white chocolate. YUM!!

Diabetic Dog Treats

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2013
I have made this recipe about six times now and my puppy LOVES them, and he does not have diabetes. Like other reviewers suggested, I used two jars of baby food. Since my dog is small, I can freeze half the treats for later. They freeze pretty well. Cut into very small pieces, these treats are great for training. If you do not have parchment paper on hand, I just used wax paper and sprayed it with nonstick cooking spray. Because the cooking time is not long, the wax paper isn't harmful. The treats keep about a week to a week and a half in the refrigerator. Thanks for the great recipe!!

Master Pizza Dough

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2013
Very basic dough that tastes wonderful. I had no trouble at all making this recipe....very simple. I used the Active Dry yeast instead of Rapid Rise. The crust turned out perfect, better than a restaurant-style pizza!! The toppings I used were: mozzarella cheese, chicken, and spinach over Classico Sun-Dried Tomato Parmesan Pasta Sauce. SO simple and SO DELICIOUS. The sauce worked really well....mmmmmmmm.

Cranberry Sauce Chicken II

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2013
I am a novice cook and, for me, this was a SUPER easy dinner to throw together and everyone liked it!! My dad kept saying how yummy it was and went back for seconds, and then thirds!! I did mine in the crock pot, like some other reviewers did, and it turned out wonderful!! Don't be fooled by the odd ingredients!!

Dumpling Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2013
This soup was delicious and very filling. I did make some changes though. I added diced celery and chicken bouillon to make it more flavorful. The only difficulty I had was with the dumplings.....They stuck to everything. Next time I think I will just add more flour. It'a a delicious, easy-to-make soup!!

Creamiest Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2013
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!! This is by far the best rice pudding recipe I've ever had. Talk about going back for seconds!! I now reject my own mother's recipe!! However, I do a few things differently. Like another reviewer suggested, I boil the milk, sugar, and rice before the one hour cooking time. I use whole milk because it makes the finished result creamier. I also let the egg mixture reach room temperature because it mixes in better that way. Also, the pudding will not get thicker in the fridge. You have to cook it until it reaches the consistency you want. This recipe tastes good hot or cold. I make this about twice a month now. Thanks for the recipe!

Addictive Pumpkin Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2012
Mmmmmm!! This recipe is definitely a keeper!! I didn't have any walnuts or raisins on hand, but these muffins taste great without them. So yummy, healthy, and like their name suggests, addictive! =)
