Fresh Tomato Basil Sauce

I really like this recipe but I did a few things a little differently - I sautéed the onions in oil while running the tomatoes through my blender - I kept the seeds and just roughly chopped the tomatoes before processing them. Once the onions were ready, I just poured the tomato puree on top, so that saved me from having to use one more pan. I added a small pinch of freshly cut basil to the sauce every 20 minutes or so, which I think helped me obtain a bright basil flavor. I added a few other dry seasonings for a little lift, like crushed red pepper flakes and garlic salt. Overall this is a great recipe, and its simplicity is what makes it so great. Using fresh tomatoes really does beat any other sauce I've made in the past. Love it! Thank you :)

Divine French Fries

Oh YUM! Thank you - I adjusted the oven temp to 400 degrees and cooked for a total of 30 minutes. I used minced garlic and black truffle oil. So good. I wish I'd maybe cooked them a bit longer as my potatoes were large, but otherwise, truly divine!

Best Marinara Sauce Yet

I LOVE this recipe with the following changes (and yes, it freezes really well!): -After sautéing the onions, put the wine in your saucepan and cook it down -Add a dash of crushed red pepper, fresh basil, mint, and extra garlic to the tomato mixture -Once you've let the sauce fully simmer, add a pat of butter at the end to smooth out the acidity of the sauce Delicious - thank you for the recipe, Jackie!

Grilled Cheese with Tomato, Peppers and Basil

Sounds phenomenal. I know it's not in the ingredients list, but DO NOT add any extra Italian herbs and spices (DO include the basil) to this recipe, you'll regret it. Also, don't skimp on the black pepper. It's what makes this sandwich a real winner.
