About this Cook
I am wife, mom of five teenagers. (yes. . .it is an interesting place to live), homemaker, and homeschool teacher/administrator. I love my job!!!
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake! I guess cookies are top on the list, then bread, then any other type of baked good. My desire is to learn to make things from scratch and do it well.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Dinner at least 5 nights a week around our table with all seven of us enjoying it together. I also love to make each holiday unique with special foods for breakfast, dinner, and dessert.
My cooking triumphs
I've mastered making dinner rolls and several types of cookies. I'm learning to make certain main dishes very well. Since baking is usually my forte, I love it when I am able to cook something well!
My cooking tragedies
I've had many flops over the years. But then, isn't that the way you grow and mature in life. It teaches you what NOT to do, and eventually what TO do. :-)

Chocolate Caramel Nut Cheesecake
Good cheesecake. It was relatively easy to make. It might be better with one more Snickers bar. Also, don't bake it too long. Mine was a bit rubbery.

This cookie was just OK. I didn't think it was anything special.
