Mother of seven. Retired resturant Manager.
Love cooking and trying new things, exchanging cooking ideas with others.
Have a husband and grown son that are both diabetic so have to be watchful of sugers, salt and fat. Most people are now, so exchanging recipes with others that have the same guidelines is alot easier now. it is so interesting learning new ways to fix old favorites.
My favorite things to cook
Anything pasta, baked chicken in different ways. Shellfish is a favorite with me and my husband son. Rice is high on our favorites list. I also love to fix good hearty soups and am looking foward to the cooler weather so I can start some good soups. In winter I make it at least once a week, with a good saled or pasta dish.
My favorite family cooking traditions
The usual traditional holiday favs. Turkey for thanksgiving, Tenderlion for Christmas, Ham for NYs and Lamb for Easter.
My cooking triumphs
Made it into top 5 of Good Morning Americas Cut The Calories Cookoff. I was thrilled.
My cooking tragedies
Cant really remember any. My husband says my recipes tend to improve over time, because I love to experiment with herbs and different spices.
