I have always loved watching my grandmother and aunt bake and I've hoped one day I can do that too. I started with simple recipes at first like brownies and cookies back in grade school and high school but the cooking and baking dwindled when I started to go to college. The baking gave way to "actual food" cooking when I started to work and live alone but now that I'm married, I want to pass on to my daughter the love for making food that not only warms the stomach but also the heart.
My favorite things to cook
I usually prefer baking cakes and cookies. My grandmother used to bake cakes and pastries and my aunt bakes desserts that are to die for! I've started baking since grade school and I only hope I can follow in their footsteps when it comes to dishing out mouth-watering food.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family loves to eat and I grew up savoring the varied tastes of Filipino cuisine. Our family motto when it comes to cooking is "If you want to eat, then you have to learn how to cook." And cook we did! From native dishes to international fare, we have tried our hand in these gustatory delights!
