Amazing! The first time I made it, we had 6 people coming over, including a couple on a diet, two foodies, and a couple big eaters, so I doubled the recipe to ensure we didn't run out. We didn't, but not for lack of eating! Everyone gave it rave reviews, even my foodie friends. It's not too spicy (which my husband is thankful for) and is bursting with flavor. The beans keep it both filling and healthy. I paired it with cornbread and put sour cream and cheese on the side and everyone declared it a total success. I've made it since then and it's always fantastic.
The recipe is excellent and worthy of five stars as it is but I'm genetically incapable of not messing with chili recipes so I do add my own touches when I make it. I generally toss in some bell peppers and any other peppers I might have at the time, vary the beans (pinto and black are great), and always throw in some cocoa powder (I like Cincinnati style chili.) I don't know that I improve it, but it's always fantastic!
