Sweet-Sour Red Cabbage

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2010
Very good and I am not an over the top cabbage fan, the only thing I might change is I will try leaving out the water next time as it seemed to dilute it a little too much. Cooked the cabbage then simmered with pre-cooked keilbasa served as an appetizer. Very easy and very good.

Chicken Wing Dip

Very Good,Quick and Easy. I don't especially like wings but thought this was just the right amount of each flavor. I followed some of the others advice and used rotissere chicken which worked out great.

Baked Pancakes with Sausages

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2006
It was very easy and quick to make. My family really liked it, I was OK with it but I'm not a big pancake and sausage fan either. But it sure beats the heck out of cooking pancakes one by one. It's a keeper

Charley's Slow Cooker Mexican Style Meat

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2009
Oh my, served on slightly browned flour tortilla's with sour cream. It was incredible. After reading through the reviews and finding Impish's review Oct 1, 2006 very helpful I made some additions as suggested. I added 1 beef boulion cube, added 1 1/2 t cumin and 1 tsp of paprika. Simmered in the crock pot overnight, shredded the meat, refrigerated in the broth and microwaved after work for supper. It was fantastic. Will definitely make again and again.

Apple Enchilada Dessert

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2005
My hubby took this for a Mexican potluck at work and the reviews were rave. My hubby said kind of like apple pie but better. I used the apple pie filling reipe posted by Terri on this site only adding some additional cornstarch to make the consistecy thick enough for rolling up the tortillas

Chicken Casserole Mississippi

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2005
The topping makes this dish great. My whole family loved it.Following the advice of others that it was a little bland, I browned the chicken and onion in a dutch oven, then added chicken broth to the same pot, replaced the salt with season salt, brought it to a boil and cooked my noodles in the broth with the chicken and onions. After the noodles were cooked drained off the excess broth leaving the flavor behind.

Cocktail Meatballs

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2006
I've been making this recipe for years, as one person mentioned I also use cornflakes in place of breadcrumbs. A favorite of mine and many of my friends. My husband surprisingly isn't real fond of the sauce, he prefers BBQ sauce or the old standby of Ketchup and Grape Jelly.

Pepperoncini Beef

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2008
I have been making this recipe for a long time and substitute a packet of dry italian salad dressing in place of cloves of garlic. I like the added flavor it gives to the meat. Also remember to remove the stems from the pepperoncini's prior to pouring them into the crockpot.

French Dip Sandwiches

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2009
Very good and easy. I would use the lower sodium soy sauce next time as it was a little salty but not bad. Also only used half the amount of Rosemary as Rosemary has such a strong taste and it turned out perfectly in this manner.
