Corn Pudding V

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2011
Very good. Made it tonight and everyone loved it. The only thing I changed is adding 1 can of green chiles and cooked 15 minutes longer. The knife never comes out clean, but the consistency was great as was the flavor!

Slow Cooker London Broil

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2011
When I saw this recipe, I thought it was too simple to possibly be as good as stated in some of the reviews. Boy was I wrong -- it was wonderful! I used 3 pound Top Round Roast and followed the recipe to the T. The family loved it as well. The gravy/au jus was delicious!

Quick Crescent Pecan Pie Bars

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2010
My husband and mother loved these. I thought they were a bit too sweet and they got soggy very quickly. I think I didn't ensure the crust was pre-baked enough and will definately try this again. Thanks for a great recipe!

Ham N Cheese Potato Bake

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2010
WOW ... I needed something to do with leftover ham. This is the perfect recipe for that! I followed the recipe to a tea almost but didn't have cheddar cheese soup, so I sub'd with cheddar broccoli soup. The family loved it. Next time I will add some green chiles. Thanks for a great recipe!

Marie's Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2010
I only gave this 4 stars since I did follow the advice of the other reviewers. I used 2 packets of dry onion soup mix, substituted the water with beef broth, eliminated (personal preference) and added mushrooms. I cooked it on low for 6 hours and the last two on high. The family loved it.

Succulent Pork Roast

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2010
This was a great recipe, made it as directed. A bit on the greasy side, but a crowd pleaser and nice diversion from the same old pork roast.

Slow Cooker Venison Roast

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2010
The only substitution that I made was golden cream of mushroom soup vs. regular. My mother can't stand the thought of eating venision and loved it and got seconds. It was wonderful!

Salmon Fillets with Creamy Dill

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2010
I ranked this a 4 because the 1st time I prepared it per the recipe without modifications, we found the sauce/topping to be too heavy and mustardy. It was a great start and I then followed other reviewers suggestions and sub'd the mayo with yogurt and cut down on the mustard to 1/3 cup. This is definately a keeper and nice diversion from the basic salmon!

Slow-Cooked Tamale Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2009
Excellent recipe, the family loved it including mom and dad. The only modifications I made was Rotel (tomatoes/green chili) as a substitution for the tomatoes since I didn't have them on hand and using the taco season vs. chili seasoning. It was wonderful. I did not have sticking problems as indicated in some of the other reviews and I did cook on high (I have a new teflon cooker and I did coat with pam as well). I did turn the cooker off after I added the cheese as it melted pretty fast. This is a keeper!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2009
I made a 3.5lb roast (was the biggest I could find) and followed the recipe exactly. After 6.5 hours, I had to turn the slow cooker up to high for another 2 hours as the meat was still very tough. The end result was very good, the meat fell apart and I thickened the gravy to pour over the meat and mashed potatoes. I would have rated this a 5, if I didn't have to account for the change in temperature on cooking to ensure the ultimate tender roast.

Slow Cooker Pork Cacciatore

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2009
This was fantastic! I was a bit lazy and threw the pork chops in the crockpot semi-frozen and just mixed the veggies (didn't sautee them) and sauce/spices together, poured over the pork and let it cook. The pork was so tender and flavorful, the entire family loved it! I will definately use this as a base recipe for beef, brats, chicken, etc. in the future! Thanks for a great recipe!

OMG ... this cake is absolutely wonderful! I didn't change a thing. It turned out absolutely moist and my family devoured it. I was going to put a glaze on it, but am glad I didn't as it is perfect as is!

Chewy Peanut Butter Brownies

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2009
I was really looking forward to this recipe and followed it to a T, but it wound up being horrible -- not brownie or cake like at all. I tossed it in the trash. I won't be making this again.
