Deep Dish Brownies

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2007
These are excellent! I used 2 eggs instead of 3 and reduced the baking powder by half. You also need to be sure to use unsalted butter since there is already salt in the recipe. I also use really good vanilla and the Hershey Dutch Processed cocoa, which is richer. I have made these every week for 3 weeks now!! I never knew homemade brownies were so easy.

Chocolate Shell Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2006
So easy and fast to make with stuff you already have in the pantry! I was looking for a quick chocolate sauce to go with our vanilla icecream for our dessert tonight and didnt want to run to the store. This was the only recipe on the site that I had the ingrediants for! It was a bit thick as others have said, but it all just depends on what you want to use it for. I did thin ours out just a bit with a tablespoon or so of milk. It's a keeper!

Old Fashioned Coconut Cream Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2006
Made this for Thanksgiving and my Grandmother who is an AMAZING cook could not get enough of it and raved and raved. She said it was just like her Mom used to make. And that is a compliment in the highest form in my opinion. Was perfect and not too sweet. Used the home made whipped cream recipe on this site and it complimented it perfectly. I am sure I will be asked to make this again next Thanksgiving.

Whipped Cream

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2006
I used this as the topping for the old fashioned coconut pie recipe on this site and it was so easy and delicious!!! not too sweet, but just perfect. If you really like sweet I recommend coolwhip. But this is PERFECt and does not overpower the dish you use it on. Will definatley make again and again.

Jeff's Chili Con Queso

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2006
This was really good. Made it Christmas eve for the family and everyone loved it. This will be replacing my regular Rotel Queso I have made for years! I was a litle worried because at first because as all the cheese is melting it does not look very appealing (I cooked it in the slow cooker) but the end result was great!!

Honey Mustard Dressing II

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2006
This was exactly what I have been looking for! I have tried sooo many bottle varieties trying to get a match for honey mustard dressings I have had in a restaurant, but they were all gross! This is THE honey mustard dressing recipe! I tasted it and found it tasted a bit too mayo so I added a tad more honey and mustard. Love it.

Restaurant-Style Coleslaw I

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2005
I love this coleslaw TOO much. It is is perfect- creamy, sweet, and a bit tart. It was so easy as well. This is going to become my *secret* recipe for coleslaw! note: we do not like onions so I left them out and it was still delicious.

Double-Cheese Meat Loaf

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2004
Very good! It is not your traditional meatloaf, but if you get over that, you can really enjoy this unique tasting dish. I used ground pork and ground beef (lean for both). My husband really enjoyed it as well and I will definately keep this as my new meatloaf recipe!
