I was born and raised in the mid-west (Chicago area). We retired 8 years ago and moved to Tennessee. No regrets! I now have more time for my hobbies and church work.

Italian, American, Weight Watchers and other healthy foods. My ancestry is German so those dishes attract me, as well.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Cranberry-nut bread, Christmas cookies, and lemon bars (especially in the spring). Everything always from scratch (especially since retirement!).
My cooking triumphs
Won a neighborhood dessert contest with my raspberry 3-layer cake.
My cooking tragedies
A "no fail" cake that caved in! But, alas, we eat anything!
