Parmesan Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2013
I personally didn't care much for this recipe at all. It took too much time and effort for what ended up being mediocre taste--I could've just quickly roasted some potatoes with salt and pepper and it actually would've tasted better and crispier. I think with some tweaks I could make it taste OK, but I've decided I don't like it enough to mess with it.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2012
Super tasty and EASY! What more could you ask for in a main dish? Be careful with the celery salt--I accidentally added more than the recipe called for and the end result was a tad salty. Still really good, though.

Crispy Rosemary Chicken and Fries

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2012
Super delicious and easy to make! I made a half-recipe of this tonight for my family--added a slightly larger amount of spice (because my family loves spices) and used 2 chicken breasts instead of thighs, since that's what I had. I cut each breast into three pieces to make it easier to portion out evenly between myself and my parents. The only problem I had with this is that the chicken felt a little dryer than I typically like. I'm not sure if it's because I cut the chicken into smaller pieces, but it might be. I think I might experiment with how long I cook the chicken next time, to see if I can find a way to make it a little bit more moist. I did like how crispy both it and the potatoes came out, though, so I overall recommend this if you're wanting something easy to make that's healthier than fast food!

Burmese Chicken Curry (Gaeng Gai Bama)

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2012
This was FANTASTIC! I couldn't find red curry paste at my local store, so I had to substitute green curry paste, and I skipped the shallots to save on time but it still came out really delicious. I think red curry paste would've been a little bit better since there wasn't much spice when I made it, but even with green curry paste it had a ton of flavor. I also substituted brown sugar for the palm sugar, since that was what I had. So it's probably not quite "right" but it still came out as one of the best things I've made from this site. A total keeper!

Stir-Fried Chicken With Pineapple and Peppers

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2012
This was pretty good, although not as much as I was hoping for. I was hoping it'd have more of a sweet-and-spicy taste to it, but it was really more sweet-and-sour. I think next time I'll add some chili flakes, or something like that, to give it a bit more kick. I also added a tablespoon of sugar (because the sauce tasted very acidic to me) and some more veggies from the fridge, and doubled the sauce--my family loves sauce. The outcome was tasty and enjoyable, but it could've been much better IMO!

Marinated Greek Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2012
Super-tasty and healthy! I'm starting to make an effort to cook more, and this recipe was a great start because it tasted great but was easy to prepare. I like a bit more spice in my food, so at the last minute I decided to sprinkle some paprika into the marinade. That worked pretty well, but I think I'll try chili powder next time instead. I also didn't have lemons or lemon juice so I substituted lemon pepper seasoning, which worked pretty well. My family ate this rolled up in flatbread with some fresh spinach. Mom raved about it and told all of her friends in Facebook how good it was.
