Mom's Zucchini Bread

Mom did an amazing job! Now this will be a keeper in my recipe book! (A mother of a 3and5 yr old) Thank you so much for sharing the BEST EVER zuccnini bread! And it makes 2 loafs!!! The only thing I did was take out the nuts and replaced them with chocolate chips! And someone said something about not to drain the juice so I didnt and it is SO MOIST! Yumm!! THANK YOU!

Fluffy Pancakes

Oh these were out right the best pancakes I have had in a long time!!! The only thing I did different was less sugar! I figured I would get the sugar from the syrup I cant wait to try again with fresh berries and cream! Yummy! Thank You!::High Five::

Arkansas Green Beans

Oh my YUM!! I made this with fresh string beans. I cooked off the bacon dumped most of the fat, then took my onions and sauteed them with the remains of the grease. I used half the amount of sugar. I took someones advice and mixed the beans with the sauce. Half way through I fliped the beans around so there was more of an even flavor. Also with the fresh beans it took longer in cook time about 60 mins with foil!! Thanks for the great treat!! Oh and may I add that my 3 and 5 yr old LOVED THEM!!!

Mom's Favorite Baked Mac and Cheese

Im going to give this a 4 star. I made it as is except I made a double batch used velveta"amercian cheese" and didnt have the sharp cheese so I used med cheddar,mustard AND dejon. I didnt have the dry stuff. It has great flavor but to me and the husband we thought it was a little dry. But nothing to complain about. I think it may be because I didnt use the sharp? (maybe?) I have it in my saved box and will make it again. Thank You!! (Now back to reheating the left overs) YUM!

Chicken Divan Lasagna

Made this lastnight! And will be making AGAIN for sure. I made it as directed for the most part.I made it with no boil noodles and fresh broccoli. And because I was using more chicken and broccoli I used 4 cans and about 2 1/2 cups of broth. I baked off my chicken in chicken broth with seasonings so I just used that. No need to waste anything! I shredded my chicken and put into the "sauce" put atleast 2 cups of that on the bottom if not more of the pan.The bottom noodles tend to burn when I use the no boil noodles.I was smart about it this time! :) Then I layed four noodles,sauce placed broccoli,then put down my shredded cheese.Did that for 3 layers.It turned out SO yummy! My husband ate TWO full plates. And it was a hit for the kiddos!(3&5)So it was great for the whole family!! :) Thanks for the yummy advice!

Banana Bread I

Very simple and yet VERY YUMMY!! I made it as is with a little cinnamon and vanilla extract. I think next time I will lessen the sugar because with the ripe bananas and a cup of sugar is a little much but the fact is IT WAS GOOD!! And silly me for saying ME in this. My 4 yr old is the one who made it really I just measured and she did everything else

Brown Sugar Cream Cheese Frosting

OMGosh you could eat this by the spoon fulls!! Its not your typical frosting texture due to not having powder sugar. Its more like a butter spread. It has a little tartness to it but once you hit that tartness the sugar kicks in with the vanilla then almond flavor! A little thing I did was it says to let the butter cool. So I took the brown sugar and let it soak the butter up with the vanilla and almond that cooled it down a little faster. Yum! I will be spreading this on my banana bread tonight!! Thank you for a new keeper!

Snickerdoodles I

I have no idea what happened here. I made these as is and these are no "little pocket of sweetness" I was thinking nice and chewy. These things are FLAT and crunchy. Im not saying the flavor isn't good it's a texture thing.Could be my fault. I should probably re-up on some fresh ingredients. Oh the one thing I did do different was I added almond instead of vanilla. Which is added by other reviewers. If I ever come across shortening again I will make these again. Thanks!!

Authentic Pad Thai

I have NO idea what happened here. I had high hopes for this and as I always do I look at the comments on what to add what not to add blah blah.. So I figured! Ok x's the sauce. I like sauce. Yea the VINEGAR is WAY to much!! It's like eating salt and vinegar chips! YIKES.... So if you have ever eaten those things then you would know how my tongue is feeling and all I had was a sample =( Maybe make again but lessen the vinegar? This might be a I screwed up we're getting pizza night!!

With all the work that has to go into this I would think that just making the REAL deal would be easier. Would I make it again? Maybe! But this is just my opinion. Have Fun with whatever your choice is =)

Best Spanish Rice

I've tried this recipe 2 times now....... I swear I can't get it right!! The rice was either over cooked and dry or it was under cooked with no liquid left! BUT! It had great flavor..... Im not going to give up! I have a feeling that tonight is going to be the night it's going to turn out!

Wow! Sweet and Sour Sauce

So I have declared that this sauce is AMAZING! The only thing I don't like is the steak sauce......So I just don't put that in. I cut this in half and that's with a family of 2 Adults and 2 Children and we love our sauces! There is SO much left over sauce... I make 2 large chicken breast and one small one with another recipe on here for sweet and sour chicken! Good Luck and thanks for this yummy sauce!

Rick's Special Buttercream Frosting

I have had frosting before with shortening in it and I have enjoyed it. All tho everyone else liked it. I was not a fan of it. =/ It had to much of that shortening taste. If I make it again which I may do because I will always try something twice. But I may go with the with 1/2 butter 1/2 shortening idea to get that BUTTER melt in your mouth frosting YUM! Good Luck!
