Best Ever Brisket

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2012
Absolutely moist and delectable; fall apart brisket! Based on other reviews, I coated the meat in a dry mustard. Instead of the broth, I used a very stout beer (Guiness) with a tbsp+ of liquid smoke. I then mixed the dry marinade, coated the meat with it and placed in the slow cooker. I added 1 large onion on top of the brisket. Cooked for about 6 hours. I've made this recipe several times and this time it turned out perfect. I plan to use the modifications I used today to make again! Delicious!

Bread Pudding II

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2012
I used it as a "french toast casserole" except I used several types of day old bread. Wow! This is the best bread pudding recipe I've used. Yields delectable results! I made several modifications based on the reviews I read -- used 3 eggs instead of 4, omitted the raisins, used brown sugar instead of the white sugar and used 1 1/2 cups milk and 1/2 heavy whipping cream! Delicious! Also, instead of the vanilla extract, I used Nielsen-Massey vanilla bean paste. Highly recommend this recipe. Your family/guests will thoroughly enjoy it!

Mexican Rice III

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2012
This is the best Mexican Rice recipe I have used! KEY TO FLUFFY RICE: COOK FOR 20 MINUTES ON LOW HEAT AND LEAVE ON STOP FOR ADDITIONAL 10 MINUTES WITH HEAT OFF! I made several modifications based on the reviews I read -- no green pepper, increased cumin to 3/4 teaspoon, and added canned petite diced tomatoes, jarred jalapeño peppers. Turned out absolutely delicious. I paired it with the beef enchilada recipe. I will certainly make again.
