Best Ever Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2006
I made exactly as written...My variation was strawberry preserves in the middle. Nothing outstanding about the taste of the muffin..it's the fact that you make them your own by what you mix in..I will be using this recipe a lot and am anxious to try a savory variation next.. :)

French Toast Fingers

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2006
...This was exactly what I was looking for this morning..Didn't have enough milk for oatmeal so I had to come up with something quick. We LOVED these little french toast fingers! I didn't even bother cutting off the crust and used Wonder bread and smuckers strawberry preserves. They reminded us of a jelly donut. Think I will experiment with the filling and try cream cheese...peanut butter...nutella...just be careful not to overfill...Thank You Mavis!!

I love these snacks that use breakfast cereal as a main ingredient...I don't mind feeding it to my 2 yr old... This Caramel Snack Mix is really good. I used rice chexs, chopped pecans and chopped almonds that I roasted...perfect mid morning or afternoon snack.

They would top it with lots of melted cheese, green chilies, diced tomatoes and avocado...so good! I am freezing half the dough (divided) and am hopeful it with thaw and bake up just as good when needed. Thanks Sally..this recipe will save me lots of ca$h :)

Grilled Rock Lobster Tails

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2007
...We love lobster! I've never had the nerve to bring home a live one...so decided to give these a try. They were actually very easy to prepare. We just split them down the back, brushed on the marinade and grilled them right side up for a few minutes while continuing to baste. Just kept turning until they looked done. Ours took a little longer to cook and they came right out of the shell. Even with all the basting, we still dunked ours in butter...so good!

Baked Penne with Italian Sausage

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2007
Loved this sauce! I needed to use up some fresh pasta and found this recipe in my search for a quick and easy dish I could put together in less than an hour. I used bulk mild Italian sausage and deglazed the pan with Lambrusco...really good! I only used half of the sauce on pasta and made french bread pizza with the rest the next day..yum!

Sugar Coated Pecans

Reviewed: May 16, 2007
..We absolutely love these pecans. I made them to give as gifts for moms day and they were happily received. I ended up using 2 egg whites, just whisked them by hand in a chilled bowl then spooned them into the cinnamon sugar mixture (I also doubled the cinnamon). Prepared my pan with buttered parchment and baked until nearly dry. Once cooled the finished product is superb! We nibbled on these with our coffee at the end of a glorious day spent with family and friends...thanks Carolyn.

Slow Cooker Chili II

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2006
...REALLY good flavor! I only had 1 can of kidney beans so I threw in a can of ranch and left out the cannellini...I used 2 cans of diced tomatoes that I put in the blender with the garlic. Slow cooked all day on low..served over tortilla chips and topped with cheddar cheese and sour cream...Next time I will double and freeze half. Really good chili!

Ricardo's Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2006
I'm so happy I tried this recipe...not disappointed at all. I followed except for the spices. I have a ton of italian seasoning and used 1 tsp of that...after mixing for 30 mins I let rest for aprox 30 more..put olive oil on a cookie sheet..did not roll dough out..instead I just worked it into the pan with my fingers. Topped with my best marinara sauce, grated parmesan and sliced provolone...so good! I'm mixing up another batch right now....THX RICARDO!!

Sweet Spicy Wings

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2006
I love the fact that you grill these wings rather than fry. Didn't even bother separating and tipping wings, just seasoned with a little garlic salt and grilled. The sauce was perfect for the kids as is, so we coated half of the wings with half the sauce and added more cayenne pepper to taste for the other half....SO GOOD!! THX LISA!!
