Mini Meatloaves

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2006
These are really good...I also add 1/2 cup minced onion...Try using an ice cream scoop...I get 12 mini meatloaves that fit in a 13x9 pan...I have doubled the recipe for a party and they were so easy to heat and serve...they also make great little meatloaf sandwiches.

Best Ever Jalapeno Poppers

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2006
Crunchy...yummy...with just a tiny bit of heat. I was surprised the filling stayed in when we fried in my cast iron skillet..plan on making a double batch this weekend and maybe adding cayenne to half...mmmm (I was able to reheat the next day and they were still crunchy good)

Jalapeno-Blue Cheese Burgers

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2006
This recipe was good...We were wanting something a little different to put on the grill during the week...I only had 1 lb of hamburger so I halved the recipe and ended up with 4 burgers. Topped with grilled red pepper and lettuce..made french fries to go with...I think I may try a little steak seasoning (montreal) next time and a dash of olive oil...thx for a great recipe!

Apple Cake in a Jar

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2006
These were fun to make...had to put the baby down for a nap and clear the counters to start. I boiled my jars and greased them with butter flavor crisco. Shredded enough granny smith apples to make 3 cups (drained of juice) and mixed all in my stand mixer...Instead of 2/3 cup water I used the juice and enough water to make 2/3 cup...filled 8 jars with 1 cup of batter and baked on a cookie sheet. Just before they were done I threw the lids and rings in boiling water to sterilize and they sealed wonderfully. I couldn't wait until morning to taste so I opened one while it was still warm and thought it tasted very yummy...Can't wait to see what everyone else thinks...Thanks for this recipe, I will definitely make again.

Banana Pancakes I

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2006
Very good pancakes. I followed the recipe exactly. First one was a little under cooked inside so I turned down the heat to medium and cooked the rest to perfection. We LOVE the banana flavor and would not change a thing...I spread some peanut butter on the one and only left over and rolled it up for my 2 yr old...so good.

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2006
I'm not sure if this pizza crust is the best...or if I was just so amazed I could make pizza ?! I divided dough and made lunch (cheese pizza) and will make bread sticks out of the other half... I am giving 5 stars because of the ease of this recipe and the flavor and texture of the final product...Thanks Jay!!

Sweet Spicy Wings

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2006
I love the fact that you grill these wings rather than fry. Didn't even bother separating and tipping wings, just seasoned with a little garlic salt and grilled. The sauce was perfect for the kids as is, so we coated half of the wings with half the sauce and added more cayenne pepper to taste for the other half....SO GOOD!! THX LISA!!

Killer Cheesecake

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2005
I made this for my sons 13th birthday party...followed the recipe exactly as written and was impressed with how creamy and flavorful this cheesecake turned out to be. The sour cream topping was a nice addition and looked like frosting. I topped each piece of cake with a chocolate covered strawberry...a big hit with all. Thanks Austntachs!!

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2005
Just made a batch of these this morning...after reading the reviews I was going to add 1/2 tsp of vanilla..then I noticed I had a beautiful lemon sitting in my fruit bowl and used half of that instead..juice and peel. I also used frozen blueberries and 12 cupcake liners filled 2/3 full. For the crumb topping I recommend COLD butter right out of the fridge and cut into the topping with a pastery knife....I used ALL the crumb topping and baked at 400 for 20 minutes.....My family loves this recipe Colleen...Thank You!!

Hasty Chocolate Pudding

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2005
My first chocolate pudding attempt, so the only thing I have to compare it to is instant pudding..Be sure to use a medium microwaveable bowl as mine had a tendency to boil over...added 1 Tbls of butter just before the vanilla as others suggested...much better than the instant...very quick and easy too...Thx DBon!!
