Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

This is one of my favorite work-week dinners! I have made this many, many times and it nearly impossible to mess it up. I've made it with and without the aluminum at the bottom and have noticed no difference, so you can really do it without. The key here is to add whatever seasonings you like! I always put onion in the cavity and celery, if I have it on-hand. I've also added cut up apple before and it tasted great! I always add garlic and chicken broth too. As I said, you can really put whatever you want or have on hand in. Next time I make this, I'm going to try orange slices. Anyway you try it, I'm telling you - it will taste great and can't get much easier than this!

Hearty Garlic Potato Soup

This was just amazing! First of all - I LOVE garlic and I added an entire head of garlic and it still didn't taste overly "garlicky". I put in about a pound of sausage and I didn't drain the grease from the sausage. I just added it to the soup. Other than that, I followed the recipe. It was so delicious. I will definitely make this one again!

Mother's Applesauce Muffins

These were excellent!!! The only change I made was to add 1 cup oats in place of 1 of the cups of flour. I also added about 1/2 tsp of nutmeg and sprinkled a bit of brown sugar on top of each one prior to cooking. This made 20 regular sized muffins for me. The kids loved them and so did I! Delicious!!

Grilled Salmon I

This was probably the most flavorful salmon I have ever made! I marinated for about an hour and it was perfect. The only changes I made were to add a splash of lemon juice (didn't have lemon pepper), added a bit of pepper, used olive oil and baked in a foil packet for 12 minutes on 425. I will make this over and over! Thanks for the recipe!

Yogurt Chicken

This was great! I used a greek yogurt because it is thicker and thought it would stick better. When I bought the yogurt I noticed they had lemon greek yogurt so may try that next time. I also baked on a cooling rack on top of a cookie sheet as another reviewer suggested so the bottoms get nice and crunchy too. It was fabulous! I will make again and again!

D's Famous Salsa

Very good! After reading the reviews, I was tempted to use real tomatoes, but decided to try it with the mexican canned first. I thought it was really good! Next time I will try with the fresh tomatoes just to see if there is a huge difference. Great recipe!

Cheesy Pork Chops with Spicy Apples

This was really tasty. I think it could have used a little bit of garlic (I put garlic in everything!), so will try it with that next time. Think that is just about all it needs. I cooked the chops on the grill and then did the last step with the toppings in the oven. Will definitely make it again!

Eggplant Parmesan

My neighbor left me 3 huge eggplants from her garden. I had never made eggplant before, but knew I would be able to find a recipe here. I'm glad I tried this one first! I made exactly as written and it was perfection. Even my husband who is not a huge vegetable eater loved this recipe!

Best Ever Sausage with Peppers, Onions, and Beer!

This was really, really delish! I only made a few small changes: I added only 1 1/2 beers, 2 cans of tomato paste and used 1 pack of hot sausage and 1 pack of sweet. I would have liked the sauce a bit thicker, although it was very tasty as I made it. Next time, I will add 1 beer (or maybe a tad less) and 2 cans tomato paste. Great flavor!

Garlic Alfredo Tilapia

This was really good and different! I was going to just bake up my "normal", kind of bland tilapia and looked on here to try to find something different. Well, this piqued my interest! The only change I made was to chop up some asparagus, fry it up with some olive oil and add it to the sauce. I also chopped up the tilapia when done and combined everything in one dish. Yum!

Grandma's Chicken Noodle Soup

I have been making this for years and never wrote a review...well, it's about time! This is, by far, my favorite chicken noodle soup. I always add almost a whole bag of baby carrots, after cutting them in half. I also add the noodles during the boiling stage. I use a total of 20 cups of chicken broth and a whole bag of egg noodles. Also shake in some pepper. I don't put in any additional salt. I get a rotisserie chicken from Costco and rip it apart and add that. They have the best chickens! That's it - fabulous soup!

Barbequed Steelhead Trout

I see many reviewers picked this up at Costco! Well, I did too. I had never heard of it and love to try new things, so picked one up. I knew allrecipes would have a recipe for it! I was happy to find this one. Wow, very, very good. I didn't have lemon juice or paprika on hand, so made it with just the other ingredients and it was delicious! I cooked in the oven in a cast iron skillet at 350 for 25 minutes total, adding the bbq the last 10 minutes. I will definitely be buying steelhead trout again. Especially because it is so cheap and so yummy! Next time I will try with the lemon and paprika, but at least I know I don't need it for it to taste good.

Grandmother's Pound Cake II

I would give this cake 10 stars! Wow! I have never made pound cake before, but wanted to try it. I won't ever search for another recipe. The only change I made was adding 2 teaspoons of vanilla. It was the best pound cake I have ever had (don't tell my mom!). Since it makes 3 loaves, next time I will try to add some small chocolate chips to one, as I think that would be good too. Thank you so much for sharing such a wonderful recipe! This is definitely one of my new favorites on this site.

Supreme Scalloped Potatoes

These were fantastic! I followed some of the other reviewers advice and didn't boil first, just sliced up the potatoes really thin and layered them in a casserole dish - potato layer, liquid layer, cheese layer - until all was done. I used cheddar soup in the liquid mixture. Also, instead of onion, I put in some Onion Onion from Tastefully Simple as my son wouldn't have liked big chunks of onion. It was superb! I will make this over and over!

Leftie Overs

This was very good and a great way to use leftovers! I had a pork roast that I made in the crock pot the day before, so I used that. Only addition I made was to pour the leftover gravy over everything during the last ten minutes. It was perfect!
