About this Cook
I grew up in Delaware and never left! I live very close to some amazing beaches and within driving distance of some fabulous cities. I love allrecipes and make recipes from it several times a week.
My favorite things to cook
I LOVE to grill all year long. I'll even venture out into the snow to grill. I am also a potato freak and love to try any new potato recipes. I credit allrecipes for making me a better cook. I always read the reviews and tweak them, if needed, according to the reviews. I always try to make new things from here - this year I've been really into soups! I've found some amazing soup recipes on here. I recently got a bread machine so have been having fun with that as well. Soup and bread go so well together! I also think this site has made me gain weight...yes, I'll blame allrecipes! ;-)
My cooking tragedies
Still working on learning how to make bread. Even though I have a bread maker, I am discovering it's easy to screw up bread. I got the bread maker a few months ago, so try to make a couple of loaves a week. Only a few have been almost perfect. Most of them have been almost hollow inside. I am definitely more of a cooker than a baker. I don't like to measure ingredients!

Marinated Pork Tenderloin
WOW! This is my new favorite pork tenderloin recipe! I followed some of the others advice and made these few changes. I also believe you NEED to add the sherry to get the full flavor. I was going to substitute juice, but don't believe it would have tasted nearly the same. Here's what I did: - Doubled the marinade - a MUST - Used 1/2 of a real onion (not minced) - Used 4 cloves of chopped up garlic - Cooked for one hour in the oven at 350F, for the last 10 minutes I broiled to get a crispier outside. Flipped after 5 minutes to get both sides. - Boiled remaining marinade for 5 minutes then took off of heat and stirred in 1TBL of cornstarch. This pork is truly OUTSTANDING! I can't wait to make it again.

Skillet Pork Chops with Potatoes and Onion
Excellent! I can't wait to make this again. It was a bit salty, so next time I will use beef broth instead of boullion.

Uglies
This is a GREAT quick night dinner! I made as is, but instead of bbq sauce, I used Heinz brown gravy with onions in a jar. It was a total hit! Next time I'm going to put mushrooms into the meat. Very simple to throw together and everyone loved it.
