I'm new to this so I'm not sure if there are any tricks to getting my recipes selected to be published. Can anyone out there help me or give me any tips?

I have just a couple of published recipes and like many here, I have no secret to getting published. I do recommend submitting seasonally appropriate recipes. You might want to start submitting Fall recipes right now. Hope you get published soon. BTW The Allrecipes "Recipe Buzz" is a great place to get questions answered like this one. I only need ask on the buzz and I quickly get some answers by some resourceful and helpful folks.

It's common to be frustrated with not being able to get recipes published quickly. I'd definitely recommend not submitting a recipe similar to one that's already heavily represented (for example, they don't need a million different similar recipes for chocolate chip cookies). Like mauigirl suggested, submitting a seasonal recipe several months before that season begins is a good idea. Also, you can always share your personal recipes with others even before they're published.

Oh boy, lol. The recipes I have are ethnic and are on here in one version or another. The only one I have on here that's seasonal is the stuffed tomatoes and peppers. There are several recipes for that as well, but are not similar to mine at all. We'll see what happens. Anyway, thanks to both of you for your help. I'll definitely keep your advice in mind.

I think they always like to see authentic and unique "ethnic" recipes. I know I am always perusing certain "ethnic" flavors that we love...not always with many recipe results :( Green Girl is right.....start sharing your recipes with folks on the buzz.
