http://allrecipes.com/PersonalRecipe/62549907/Slow-Roasted-Beef-for-Sandwiches/Detail.aspx I have done this method with a pork roast and It turned out perfect. Cook to 145 degrees. No need to let it rest because it's already resting in the oven. If you use herbs and garlic I would put them on after the sear. Don't want to burn the garlic.

If you enjoy saurkraut,I have a pork roast in my slowcooker right now.Found in my menus it begins with combinations of apples, onions, sliced potatoe layered. The roast is spread with a special mustard and browned.Though the recipe calls for more liquid I just add the saurkraut and juices to the top.Check out my menus and recipes for the recipe.Read other cooks reviews of the recipe for hints.

About Me
As a single parent I found it necessary to learn to cook as inexpensively as I could without meals becoming boring.
My cooking triumphs
Having my ham and split pea soup and my rib recipes served in a small local restaurant.
My cooking tragedies
when I was nine my Mom was ill so I made dinner. Decided to make chili as I had seen her make it. As I didn't know about spices I used cinnamon instead of chili powder. My Dad tasted it and was horrified. It ended up down the toilet. On the positive side my brother and I got to have our first fast food hamburgers that night.
