Fresh Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2004
This recipe is great! I added a bit more pumpkin puree than the recipe called for just to make it a little thicker. I also added a bit more cinnamon because my family loves that spice. The honey did wonders and no one found it overwhelming (I used 1 cup). I had enough filling to make two declicious pies!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2005
a wonderful recipe! it's not too sweet and my family loved how it brought out the natural sweetness of the apples. I was a little skeptical at first when the recipe didn't call for any other spices, but this one's a keeper! mahalo tutu ople!

Gingerbread Men

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2005
great recipe! I love how there's no molasses and the gingery taste is not too overpowering. this is a great recipe for kids but for those who are big ginger fans, i'd increase the amount of ginger powder or add some crushed crystalized ginger for a more tasty bite.

Smoked Salmon Pesto Pasta

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2006
I'm a college student and on a budget so we did without the tomato paste, fresh basil, and only used half of an onion. It turned out amazing! Instead of tomato paste, we diced up heirloom tomatoes and added them right before serving. I think it would be better over ziti or penne, so that everything can be enjoyed in one bite. But otherwise, delicious! mahalo nui loa for this recipe.

Grandma's Green Bean Casserole

Delicious and super easy to make! I, too, steamed about 2lbs of green beans first, and mixed some cheese and fried onions into it in addition to topping it all off. Delicious!!

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2013
Absolutely delicious! I made this as a separate dressing and it was the most popular dish this Thanksgiving. I did compensate by adding my broth. It baked beautifully in an hour. Mixing it halfway per a previous viewer's suggestion was also really helpful. It also reheated very easily!
