About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
Anything Italian, some Mexican. I love baking brownies and cut-out cookies.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Birthday dinners were always a big deal and a huge tradition in my family and I can't wait to carry out that tradition with my own kids some day soon.
My cooking triumphs
My first cheese manicotti was a huge triumph for me...everything was homemade except for the pasta tubes.
My cooking tragedies
Burnt blueberry muffins in an oven whose thermostat was off...a lasagne whose cheese layer turned into quiche!

Haitian French Toast
This was the best French toast I have had in a long time. I didn't have any whipping cream on hand so I used two percent milk and Redi-Whip and it came out wonderful. I soaked the break for about 20 minutes, flipping it half-way though. I mixed all the ingredients in a 4 cup measuring cup and then poured over the bread in a 9x13 pan. WONDERFUL!!!!

Fluffy Pancakes
These pancakes were great. Like other reviewers I was skeptical of the "sour milk" but they turned out fantastic. I have been looking for the right pancake recipe for awhile and this is the one. I didn't make any changes or additions to the recipe. Thanks for a great breakfast!

Bonnie's Fruit Dip
This dip is awesome...I added 1/4 cup powdered sugar and 1 Tbsp lemon juice and it came out wonderful.
