Pasta and Beans

My husband and I enjoyed this recipe, however I did add more spice to it. To the oil and onions I added 2 gloves of garlic, finely chopped. When it was time to put in the beans I added some fresh ground black pepper, salt, and some of the "emeril lagase" seasoning, and crushed red pepper flakes. The beans provided a kind of "buttery" flavor, and the extra seasoning added more depth. I might make this again... Beano might need to be added in the next batch...

Country Style Barbecued Chicken

I made this tonight but did not have all the necessary ingredients. I used Dijon mustard and yellow mustard instead of mustard powder. I added a little hot pepper flakes, cumin, paprika, and chili powder to the rest of the ingredients. I also added a tsp of white sugar, to add a little more sweetness. It turned out delicious! I will definately be making this again! Very moist for baked chicken, and full of flavor.

Dee's Special Chicken

I gave this recipe 3 stars because I liked the basic idea of it. However I had to "spruce" it up some which really changed it alot. Note, when this is cooking, it really does smell like beer. And if you don't like beer, then you may not like this item. I used a Heinekin, and a little bit of chicken broth. I used chicken "breast cutlets". I added some balsamic vinegar, 1 can artichoke hearts, hot sauce, red pepper flakes, chili powder, salt, pepper, oregano, garlic, steak seasoning and the recommended amount of crushed garlic. I absolutely loved it. I boiled some penne pasta and served the sauce, which is thin with the chicken over the pasta. This is a sauce, not a gravy. The real kicker with this recipe is that the next day, it was even better. Note: I am not big on artichokes, so I only ate a few nibbles of the artichoke hearts, however they added great flavor. I cooked everything in the crockpot for about 2-3 hours. The chicken was moist, but not falling apart; balsamic vinegar added a great flavor and color.

Grilled Teriyaki Tuna

Absolutely delicious! I followed the recipe exactly, just made a little less of it. I put the marinade and tuna steaks in a zip bag, and let them sit in the fridge for 45 minutes, turning them every 10. Some of the best tuna I have ever had!

Special Deviled Eggs

Taco Bake I

A very quick and filling app. I put pickled jalapenos on the top as "decoration." This is even better the next day. I usually scoop the leftovers into taco shells, and eat it like a soft taco topped with cheese and sour cream.

The Best Potato Salad

This was great, I didn't have celery or the optional ingredients, but still very good. Made it the night before, and ate it the next day at dinner time. Flavor was mellow, subtle. I couldn't taste just mustard, or just ranch. It blended together very well. For people that like a strong flavor in potato salad, this might not be the one for you. I loved it because it was light tasting while still being creamy. I will be making it again. Next time I will find some celery, and use the optional ingredients as well.

Banana Banana Bread
