Chicken Cordon Bleu I

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2014
I used chicken breast tenderloins. Due to dietary restrictions, I used havarti cheese instead of ham, and parmesan instead of breadcrumbs. I also doubled the amount of swiss called for, used white pepper instead of black, and added a few shakes of chili powder. As the tenderloins wouldn't roll up, I just made two layers of chicken, separated by cheese, and topped with cheese. I also poured about half a cup of white wine over the chicken before I cooked it, as several reviews mentioned it can dry out quickly. It took about 35 minutes on 350, and tasted heavenly.

Candied Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2013
looks good! Wont be trying it until tomorrow, but I've already poured most of a cup of butter off the top. Update: Everyone loved it. It is bloody awful for you, but really good. I stirred the mashed sweet potatoes into the marshmallow sauce for about half an hour until it was smooth and condensed down, than poured it over 1 inch slices of boiled sweet potato in a 9x11 glass pan. baked as recommended. The marshmellows on the top mostly just dissipated into the sauce.

Garlic Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2012
Used chicken stock, 2 medium sized potatoes, 6 heads of garlic, and 4 chicken thighs. Also, various greens and a can of mixed vegetables right before serving. And left out the egg. Was the best chicken soup ever!

Whole Wheat Beer Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2012
Made this last night. First time making bread and it turned out beautifully. Followed directions, used a can of bud light as it was what was available. Only thing I added was a teaspoon of vanilla. Roommates want me to make it again tonight. Took maybe five minutes to set it up then threw it in the oven for 55.

Oven-Roasted Asparagus

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2012
Awesome! I usually add at least one bunch of peeled garlic to the pan and add the lemon juice before hand (because I'm forgetful) and it always turns out fantastic. Crunchy and the garlic is usually nicely roasted. Also good with tablespoons instead of teaspoons.
