French Herb Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2012
This is the first recipe for French bread that has really come out well for me. It's crusty and delicious! I modified the filling a little, though. I used chopped green onions instead of regular onions, I upped the garlic to about a tablespoon, and I added onion and garlic powder as well as Italian seasoning mix. I will definitely be making this again!

Tortillas I

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2012
These tortillas are phenomenal! I don't think I'm ever going to buy tortillas at the store ever again. These are so simple and easy to make, and they are soft and delicious. My boyfriend and I were shocked that they tasted good even just by themselves, and they were wonderful for chicken soft tacos.

Teena's Overnight Southern Buttermilk Biscuits

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2012
These were ok, but not as good as the buttermilk biscuits I grew up with. They rose beautifully but there just wasn't much taste to them. They would probabaly be pretty good with honey or something sweet on them, but just with butter they were a little lackluster. I think if I make them again I will leave them in the oven a little longer, too. They were a little on the doughy side.

Mom's Pie Crust

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2012
This was the first pie crust I've ever had come out right! I used it for a chicken pot pie so I left out the sugar. It came out nice and crispy and browned nicely. The texture was nice and flaky and it didn't taste floury. I'll be using this recipe from now on!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2012
These are probably the best cookies I have ever had. I love soft chewy cookies and these are just that. I doubled the recipe and froze most of the dough in little logs so I could have a few fresh cookies whenever I wanted instead of making them all at once and storing them. Or eating them all, which is what probably would have happened. The cookies cook just as well from frozen dough as it does fresh. No thawing necessary.
