French Toast Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2013
Came out really good. I used Pampered Chef beer bread that I needed to use up and I subbed out maple syrup for the white sugar.

Tater Tot Casserole

Came out really good. I added a bunch of frozen mixed veggies as well. The family liked this one much better than a previous recipe that we had tried like this. :)

Rhubarb Upside Down Cake I

Reviewed: May 21, 2011
Came out great! I used slightly less sugar, but otherwise just the same. I also didn't invert it just to make it easier and it was still wonderful that way. :)

Cheese Ball I

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2010
I've made this numerous years and it is great. Lots of compliments and very easy. This year, I wanted to get rid of the MSG that is in the dressing mix, so I substituted Pampered Chef's Garlic Garlic seasoning (which is basically just minced garlic, minced onion, etc.) and a couple of tablespoonfuls of buttermilk. Came out great. :)

Rhubarb and Strawberry Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2009
It was really good. I thought that it ended up with a ton of filling so I split it between two pies actually. I used whole wheat flour instead of all purpose. I didn't think it was runny at all (and I noticed it even got thicker as it set). It was very good. :)

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2007
We really liked this recipe. I changed a couple of things, like others, by putting the brown sugar and ketchup (mixed) on top 1/2way through cooking, and only using about 1/2 the recommended amount of sugar. I also used 2 pounds of bison (instead of 1 1/2 lbs) and cooked for just under 1 1/2 hours. I used oats instead of crackers or bread crumbs. It was really good and I'm sure we'll make it again! :)

Toad In a Hole

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2006
Like the last review, I think this just doesn't work the way it says. It seems you would have to adjust the cooking methods in order to get your egg cooked well. I cook a lot, but I couldn't get this to come out right and I ended up causing a lot of smoke and some burnt bread. When it did come out, it tasted ok, but definately not worth all of the work. Like a previous review said, I think it makes more sense to just fry up an egg and put it on toast.

Very good. I'd recommend using a little less beef, because its a bit much...at least 1-1/2 lbs.

Very good! It was a hit with everyone! I thought the sour cream would be a bit much or make it taste funny, but it was so good. :)

Chocolate Scotcheroos

These are very good, however, I used 1-1/2 cups of organic peanut butter and 1/2 cup each of butterscotch and chocolate chips, as previously suggested. Tasty! :)
