A St Louis favorite! This is well worth trying. If you don't have the browning sauce but have a hearty beef broth you'll be fine.

Italian Baked Cannelloni

Wow! Fabulous! Everybody bow down and thank Holly for this treasure. This recipe, wine and all, is worth every effort. A beautiful meat and cheese canneloni. I used sausage and ground beef. Would be good with spinach too. I prefer a bold tomato sauce (and alot of it) so added tomato paste and tomato sauce with some seasonings, nearly doubling the sauce quantity. I also poured a cream cheese, milk, parmesan sauce on top. Sinful! I strongly suggest looking at some of Marbalet's other recipes. So glad I found this one!

Perfect Pumpkin Pie

The name doesn't lie. Perfect it is. The only questionable area is in the crust. I used a frozen (thawed it first) 9 inch. I should have baked it slightly before adding the "stuff" The bottom was too soft and I had to put foil on the top to keep from burning, but still no complaints here. This is the rich, moist, flavorful pie you never thought you could make. Really!

Potato Salmon Patties

Perfect basic recipe. The 2 eggs are essential, I think, which is different from other patty recipes. I used med/large eggs. Very moist and kid/husband friendly. My husband walked in while I was flaking the salmon and pronounced, "I'm having no part of that". He not only had a part of it, but didn't touch the back up dish I'd prepared. A very good recipe and something to expound on if your husband or kids will let you.

Banana Banana Bread

So so sooooo good!! Thought I had lost this recipe. Yipes! My family would absolutely know the difference. Don't change a thing except maybe to add even more bananas. Oh, and maybe some vanilla extract. Seems to add a little something special. My family enjoys it with vanilla icecream. Yum!

Perfect. I come back to this recipe over and over again. I always need reminding of the sugar / apple cider ratio. It's what makes this recipe foolproof.

Chicken In Sour Cream

The lemon juice is the key. It changes it from a "soup tasting" dish to something colorful. The lemon goes well with a fresh green vege too. I'm having asparagus. I made this dish pretty much to the recipe and thought it was missing something. I checked and realized I missed the lemon juice. I added it and loved the dimension it added. Don't be afraid to add too much to your taste. Greta

Heaven Scent Baked Apples

This has potential. I didn't do the cook water bath thing and may have cooked too long - my sauce sort of curdled. The flavor was good though. Very sweet and rich. The next day I cut up the apples and added the whole mixture to some white rice. My little ones liked it.

Chicken and Cheese Stuffed Jumbo Shells

I thought these were boring. I'm not a big white chicken fan, though, so I should have known. As I was making the them, I found myself wishing that I had ground beef or pork for more of a meat canneloni dish. My husband didn't care much for them either. Maybe it's just us.
