Candied Yams
My In-Laws had seconds! Here were my modifications: I bought fresh yams and baked them for an hour. Then I sliced them and layered them with butter and a sprinkle of brown sugar in the middle and more brown sugar, cinnamon, butter and marshmallows on the top. (Over all I only used about 1/2 the recommended brown sugar and they were plenty sweet). I think next time I will put some orange juice in as well, the tang would have been a nice complement to the sweetness.
