Honey Glazed Ham

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2012
Made this for Christmas....sooooo yummy!!! I didn't have any dark corn syrup so I used maple syrup. VERY good! I let the ham marinate in the glaze for a few hours before baking..I used slices of ham instead of the whole ham. Family loved it!

All I can say is....WOW!! These are my new favorite cookie!!! So easy to make, and soooo delicious! Made them for a cookie exchange, and for every holiday gathering with family....they were a huge hit everywhere I took them. All I did different was leave out the bourbon & the coconut. DELISH!

Turkey Tetrazzini II

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2011
Very good base recipe! I sauteed onion & garlic in the butter for a minute before adding the flour, broth, etc. I also used a can of cream of chix soup in place of 1 cup of the chicken broth. Also seasoned with seasoned salt. Next time I think I will add some celery & mushrooms. GREAT way to use leftover turkey, and it makes a TON!

Easy Turkey Gravy

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2011
Made this for Thanksgiving, it was so yummy! I never, ever make gravy...it makes me nervous, (and I'm a bit of a health nut so we never eat it)and I haven't made any in years, so this was the perfect recipe for me....sooooo easy & so delish!

Cajun Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2011
This was amazing!! Hubby loves spicy food, so I added more cajun seasoning. Only thing I did different was to add a chopped onion & since hubby isn't a fan of sauce, I just cooked all the meat, veggies, and seasonings, then used a jar of alfredo sauce to put over mine & the kids. He absolutely loved it even without the sauce. This will definately be a new "fave" in our house. Delicious!!!

Meatball Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2011
Excellent!! I have to admit, I was very skeptical while it was cooking, I kept tasting the broth & it just seemed bland.....we tend to like bold flavors..but the flavors really do come together!!Only thing I did different was to add a chopped onion and used beef broth instead of the bouillon...and a little splash of white wine...would've preferred to use red but didn't have any on hand. Excellent soup, whole family loved it!

Southern Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2011
It pretty much doesn't get any better than this mac and cheese. Once I was given this recipe by a friend, I've never gone back to any other way of making it. My family LOVES it, it's the perfect comfort food! We like to eat it with Sloppy Joes. Only thing I do different is omit the spices on here & use garlic salt to taste, and I only use 2 eggs. If you want to make it healthier(ha ha, as if mac and cheese could ever be healthy!!!) use whole wheat macaroni, lowfat cottage cheese, lowfat sour cream, reduced fat shredded cheddar....you seriously will NOT miss the extra fat, it is just as yummy! Nothing better than a bowl of warm, gooey, good ole' mac and cheese!!!

Sarah's Salsa

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2011
This would be 5 stars with my changes: lime juice instead of lemon, the whole bunch of cilantro( we LOVE it in our house) cumin, salt, pepper, and leave out the hot pepper sauce. Made that way, it tastes just like our authentic mexican restaurant's salsa. YUMMY!

Classic Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2011
This is the way my mom always made mac and cheese, and it's probably my fave...I've made it many ways...and this is by far the easiest & has the least amount of ingredients. Definate "comfort food". I lived on this when I was nursing my 2nd daughter as everything I ate seemed to bother her:)

Scim's Fettucine Alfredo with Shrimp

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2011
Very good, easy & quick. I added some diced red pepper & fresh garlic, and some Italian seasoning. I also used half & half instead of cream & it worked just fine. Served with a tossed green salad & italian bread...perfect meal!

Sweet Ham Roll-Ups

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2011
I have been making these for years....do NOT be afraid of the apple, it adds AMAZING flavor...a nice crunch & sweetness...use Granny Smith apples. I also throw in a little diced red pepper & sometimes use turkey instead of ham. Delicious, and always a HUGE hit everywhere I take them! I roll them up jelly roll style & slice into bite size pieces.

Fresh California Salsa

This is my absolute FAVORITE homeade salsa! It's more like Pico De Gallo...but nonetheless, it's AMAZING! You won't be disappointed. Such a simple recipe! I could eat all of it in 1 sitting!

Swiss Chicken Casserole II

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2011
Wonderful recipe! Only changes I made were to pound the chicken breasts, and use white wine instead of milk. It just gives it something "extra" special. I also combine the melted butter & stuffing before sprinkling on top. My hubby LOVED this! And best of all, it's very cheap to make! A definate "comfort food"!

Dad's Asian Slaw

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2011
I give this 5 stars with my changes....instead of using bottled dressing, you can inexpensively make your own dressing: heat in a saucepan over medium heat 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup oil, 1/2 cup vinegar, and the seasoning packets from the ramen noodles.(I use 2 packages of noodles). I omit the sunflower seeds. You can toss all together & let sit for 10 minutes before serving. Also you can make this a main dish by adding a can of chicken breast. SO yummy!!

Brownie Frosting

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2010
This was so super easy & exactly what I was looking for! I will use this every time I make brownies! Make sure & pour over warm brownies tho, or it won't stick to the brownies, I found out the hard way...
