French Silk Chocolate Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2012
This was perfect - creamy chocolate and whipped cream deliciousness! I used a graham cracker pie crust, and it was amazing. I've made this recipe a couple of times, and the last time I used Earth Balance Buttery Spread instead of butter (wasn't trying to make a statement, I was just out of butter), and I wouldn't recommend it. Made it too salty or something. Light butter seems to work out well, though.

Super Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms

These turned out delicious! Didn't have any left after the party! I used Jimmy Dean Sage Sausage, and it added that extra level of deliciousness.

MMMmmm Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2012
This recipe turned out great! I made it for my mom's birthday, and after I had gotten the ingredients, she told me she wanted a yellow cake instead, so I didn't add the cocoa to the cake, but I added 1 tsp vanilla, and 1 tsp butter flavor (love that stuff!). I liberally sprayed Baker's Joy non-stick spray to my two 9 inch rounds, and let them cool for about 10 minutes before removing them from the pans. They turned out great! No sticking, no falling apart. I ended up using buttermilk in the icing as well as the cake, and used 3 tsp before it was the right consistency, but it smoothed onto the warm cakes like butter. I decorated with pecans instead of adding them to the icing. Will definitely make this cake again. Looking forward to trying the chocolate version!

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cake Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2012
These cookies are amazing! I make them as often as I can. I have tried them with the original recipe, and they are great. I have also used light butter with half the sugar. Also great! They work out to be about 100 calories per cookie when measured out to make the recipe amount. I generally add 1/2 tsp butter flavoring to the mix, and they can be made with or without nuts.
