Dijon Crusted Halibut

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2007
Gave the fish good flavor, but I thought it came out a little too salty. could be the mayo-mustard mixture. Next time I won't drench the fish in the mixture before breading it.

Baked Spaghetti I

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2006
I really like this recipe because it was both creamy and hearty. Hearty from the tomato based meat sauce and creamy from the mushroom sauce topping. The best of both worlds! I snuck more veggies in though.

Caldo Verde (Portuguese Green Soup)

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2006
This soup had good flavor, but it was a little too thick than what I'm used to. I added another cup of water to thin it out and added a little more salt because of that. I didn't find it affected the flavor. Next time I would use less potato.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2005
This was the first time I've ever made meatloaf. It was delicious! I followed everyone else's advice, putting only 1/4 cup sugar, and divided the sugar/ketchup mixture on the top and bottom of loaf. I only used 1/2 a small onion and only added 1/2 cup of milk. I used bread crumbs instead. It didn't turn out too sweet, it was just perfect. I used lean ground beef (not extra lean) and it didn't turn out too greasy. Will definately make again! Thanks!!

American Lasagna

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2004
This lasagna was extremely good, but me and my guests found it a little too meaty. Not enough pasta to taste. The next time I made this, I added a layer of lasagna noodle in between the ricotta mixture and the sauce. You may need a bigger pan.

Chicken Milano

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2004
This pasta dish is delicious! Just make sure to use heavy cream instead of half and half (heavy cream is not always available where I live) because it doesn't thicken up easily.

Manicotti Alla Romana

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2004
Excellent pasta dish!! I made it the night before and baked it for dinner the next day, and it was still perfection!! When you cover the half cooked pasta in cold water, don't leave it in for too long, otherwise the pasta will start to tear when you fill it.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2004
I've never baked a pie before, so I was looking for a very simple recipe for my first project. This was it!! I cheated though. I used an already made frozen pie shell and thawed out a second shell and cut into strips as the lattice crust. It turned out wonderfully! At first, I thought I was doing it wrong because the butter and flour mixture was not a paste and after adding the sugar, it started to separate. Even if this was not supposed to happen, the pie came out delicious anyway. And I'm not even big on appie pie!

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2004
This is absolutely the best pasta dish I've ever made. I like to add more sour cream and more provolone to this and I like to use a florentine spaghetti sauce. It's delicious.
