French Onion Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2012
This dish was delicious!!! I was quite pleasantly surprised!! We don't drink regular milk in our home, so I used half&half and it tasted slightly rich, it was VERY tasty good! My man is vegetarian and it can be a challenge making new dishes for him. He is a very critical and picky eater; needless to say, he enjoyed the dish! This dish is a keeper....!

Yummy Sweet Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2012
Oh wow.... this recipe was very yummy! Not too sweet, but sweet enough.... the topping is what really set the dish out. My man never cared for 'sweet potatoes', I was able to talk him into to tasting it and he said that it was quite tasty; much better than he expected, let along tasted!

Kickin' Collard Greens

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2012
I must admit, it turned out better than I expected. My man is a vegetarian, therefore I did not use any meat for flavoring. The only adjustment I used from a different greens recipe was liquid smoke. My man is a VERY critical & picker eater and I noticed he made two helpings!!

Chef John's Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2012
This recipe was different from my traditional layering of cheese and milk & egg sauce; BUT turned out good. The ONLY thing i would adjust is that I used 14.5 ounces of pasta; next time I will use 8 - 10 ounces next time. Although it didn't turn out dry, I just like my mac to be extra cheesier!

Transformed Spinach Mushroom Quiche

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2012
I am a first time quiche baker and I must admit it turned out really good! With this receipe and after reading all of the reviews, this is what I did; I used a deep dish pie crust which fits all the ingrediants perfectly. The only seasonings I used was veggie seasoning, italian seasoning and the nutmeg. All the veggies were fresh; I added fresh slices of tomatoes. Instead of swiss cheese, I used the shredded monteray jack cheese. I did coat the pie crust with egg white to help prevent the soggy crust. I used 5 eggs instead of 4. I let it bake for 40 mins with 400 degrees. My husband is a vegetarian and a picky eater. He said the dish was complex, but the flavors really blended well which made it really tasty!!!!
