Tomato-Topped Sole

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2012
This is a really great and simple recipe. I did make adjustments as per the other reviews: added fresh garlic, a squeeze of lemon juice, and I also added green onions. I sauteed the butter, garlic, oil, and green onions and put it on top of the fish and tomatoes. Like other reviewers I was worried it wouldn't be very flavorful but it was a great dish. Will definitely make again!

Buttery Corn Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2012
Fantastic recipe. This was my first time making cord bread and it turned out great! I was a little worried when pouring the batter into the pan to bake, it was an odd texture but it bakes up very nicely. It went great with chili!

Brownies III

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2011
I took a risk making these brownies based on the very mixed reviews. I don't bake a lot and was looking for a brownie recipe without vanilla extract because I didn't have any on hand. I cut the oil to 3/4 cup and half the salt, and while I found the brownies were very moist and the texture was good, the taste was quite bland. I even added chocolate chips and drizzled caramel over them, and this didn't help very much. It's a good base for a brownie but next time, I'll be adding a teaspoon or two of vanilla for more flavor.

Caramelized Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2011
Very good! I recommend what a few other reviewers said: reduce sauce and add 2 tbsp of cornstarch. I actually used 3/4 cup honey because that's all I had left and it was still great. Also, baste 2 or 3 times ... really makes for a great wing night

Papa Drexler's Bavarian Pretzels

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2009
I've tried several of the "Mall Pretzel" recipes but this is the best one yet. Like other reviewers, I did have to put more flour to make it less sticky. I also make 8 pretzels instead of the 6 it calls for. A keeper!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2009
These came out perfect! I used margarine as another user suggested it and they turned out great. I also used room temperature eggs; made for a thicker, chewier cookie. The only thing is I'll probably make them a lot smaller next time as I followed the recipe down to the last word and used a 1/4 cup to measure the cookies, which made 12 cookies. Great recipe though!

Soft Pretzels

Mmmm, quite a good recipe. I recommend brushing the top of the pretzels with melted butter after they are baked, then sprinkle with course salt. SO good!

Was okay, nothing special. Didn't have the texture I was going for.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2004
Easy to make. Put a little chocolate in the peanut butter mixtue, and put in the freezer to make it set faster. Tastes better than the real thing.

Soft Pretzels I

Not that great. Didn't have the pretzel flavour i was hoping for, and they got hard pretty fast. Overall, bland-tasting.

These were really good! Only thing was the chips kept sticking... but otherwise I will keep making them!
