Brazilian Banana Bread

First of all, this is definitely a cake! At least the way mine turned out. Followed the recipe except added one more banana (b/c I wanted to use all I had) and I did the lemon juice trick w/ the bananas. Also added more spices; 1tsp cinnamon & nutmeg, 1/2 tsp allspice & cardamom, & 1/4 tsp cloves. Mine did take some extra take some extra baking time however. But that could be my oven or something I did; don't think it was the recipe's fault. It came out a smidgen dry as a result but nothing a little whipped cream couldn't handle :) next time I think I'll try mixing the bananas in a little or maybe a drizzle of caramel. Hubby wants it w/ apple.

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Made this for Thanksgiving and it was eaten over pumpkin and pecan pie! This cheesecake had perfectly smooth, velvet-like texture. It did come out with a crack on top, even with a water bath, but I don't blame the recipe; that's just the nature of cheesecakes, sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. I topped with warm cinnamon caramel apples just before serving.... awesome! Can't wait to try again with different toppings and add-ins. Thanks!

Fudge Brownies I

Just had two of these (couldn't stop @ just one;) after making for the first time. Followed others' advice and used 1 1/2 c sugar, 1 1/2 sticks butter, 2 eggs and 6oz. choc. & about 1oz. of milk choc.(just b/c I had it on hand) I also used whole wheat flour instead of reg. AP flour;b/c I already had it out...so SHHH! No nuts (Hubby doesn't like:( and baked in 7X11 glass pan for 35 min. They turned out yummy! Rich, chewy middle and hard, crusty edges...PERFECT! Might experiment with a little less butter next time, but that's just b/c I can't leave a recipe alone! Thanks for sharing!!!

Belgian Molasses Bread

AWESOME bread! This is absolutely the best bread that I've ever made in my bread machine. I've made it twice now (in less than a week) and it came out great both times. My family raved about it; even my picky son who is not normally a big bread eater asked for thirds! I did change just a couple of things b/c I can't seem to leave a recipe alone... I used 1 cup whole wheat flour and 2 cups bread flour and also added 4 tsp. vital wheat gluten. Next time I'm also going to try adding some honey. Thanks for the great recipe!
