Extreme Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2011
Love this cake recipe! The 1st time I made it I followed the recipe I made it as a cake, today I made it as peanut butter/cream cheese stuffed cupcakes with a chocolate buttercream frosting. Either way, DELICIOUS and well received!

Super easy, great chocolate flavor! I made this to top a chococolate cupcake that I filled with a peanut butter/cream cheese mixture. Perfection!

Chicken Potpie

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2011
Delicious! I made this tonight and everyone loved it, from my 2 year old son to my mother and father-in-law. Even my husband declared it "Excellent." I pretty much followed the recipe except I only used between 1/4 and 1/2 tsp of the salt because of the salt in the chicken broth.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2010
Super easy, super tasty recipe. The only thing I did different was double the sauce, which we used to top our fried rice with. This will be a go-to recipe for sure! I didn't baste the chicken, I just turned it once 1/2 way through the baking time. Perfect!

Broccoli Beef II

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2010
My husband and I thought this was okay. There was really something missing though, there wasn't much flavor at all. I think it's a good base but there needs to be some sort of sauce to boost the flavor.

Double Chocolate Cookie Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2010
I made these to take to work and everyone liked them. I think the recipe would be a good base for a more complex layer bar. Judging from the opinions of my co-workers though, it was fine the way it was. :)

YUM! I took these to work and they disappeared! :) There's no way I'll make them again and leave them home, we'd eat WAY too many!

Laura's Quick Slow Cooker Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2010
I made some changes from the original recipe and the finished product was great. I replaced one of the cans of tomato woup with a can of diced tomatoes, omitted the vegetable oil when I sauteed the turkey, added about 1/2 cup corn and didn't use any onions, I also added about 16 oz of tomato sauce as it cooked because it looked like it was going to be a bit dry. Like I said, it came out great! We enjoyed the turkey and didn't miss the usual beef!

I made this for my sons 1st birthday party and it was well received. It was a little too thick for my taste but everyone seemed to enjoy it.

Fajita Marinade I

I would have rated this 5 stars except it was a bit too spicy for us, next time I'll decrease the cayenne. I'll for sure make it again though!

I sent 10 bags of these to work with my husband for his department supervisors, upon his arrival home I was told that they declared it a drug since they couldn't stop eating it! Simple and makes a nice gift.

Chocolate Cappuccino Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2009
YUM, YUM, YUM!!! I made this for Thanksgiving and am still enjoying it a great deal! It's SO creamy! I used crushed oreo cookies for the bottom and the only thing I might change next time is I might bake the crust for 10 or so minutes before filling it.

Snickerdoodle Cake II

My husband took this to work and got good feedback for it. It's not a replacement for my Grannie's Snickerdoodle cookies but it'll do in a pinch!

Peanut Butter Fudge Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2009
I made this for my husband to take to work and within 15 minutes of it being in a visible place, I had 5 different people text messaging me to say how good it was. I made it to take to work with me and my husband stopped by for a piece because he liked it so much! I highly recommend this recipe. I think the cake part of it would be a great go-to chocolate cake recipe. I see myself getting requests for this time and time again!

Broccoli Beef I

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2009
We really enjoyed this dish. I made a few minor changes: I cut the meat and marinated it in teriyaki sauce for about 2 hours prior to cooking, I also sauteed sliced mushrooms and added them, the only other thing I did was add some teriyaki sauce as it was all cooking together. I loved that the broccoli held up so well but was cooked enough to not have the raw crunch to it. I'll for sure be making this again!
