Tuna Noodle Casserole from Scratch

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2012
Delicious! We made this twice already and it gets all eaten up by two and we still have some leftover for lunch the next day. Yum yum! We used 12 oz can of bumble bee chunk tuna and it worked awesome.

Mac and Cheese II

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2012
Excellent! Very yummy. Unfortunately, it did not keep very well for us past the one day mark - but we feel that this may be the nature of the pasta, so my only suggestion would be to just make what you're going to eat that night. : )

Allspice String Beans

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2012
We didn't particularly like this, to be honest. My bf said, 'all I could smell was cloves', which turned him off. I personally felt that this recipes was not rounded enough and a bit bland. Thank you!

Fried Irish Cabbage with Bacon

We had almost a whole head of cabbage left in the fridge from another recipe and I didn't want to waste it. I'm so glad we tried this, it's delicious but definitely a treat with all the bacon!!

Oh, boy! Is this good! I died over this recipe for like 2 weeks with leftovers. I had a lot more leftover ham thought and I didn't want to waste it so I used the whole bunch! Boy is this good though- wow!! Top notch.

Cheese's Baked Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2012
I ADORE this recipe! It is so yummy and easy. I used 10 oz of Cabot Extra Sharp NY Cheddar b/c I'm lactose intolerant and I did not add any salt but I did put fresh grated black pepper. I will definitely make this again, next time I will try with some chipotle peppers/sauce. THANK YOU

Brazilian Black Bean Stew

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2013
Really Good! Definitely took longer than 1/2 hour to chop all the veggies and meat, but that could just be me! I added the mango and cilantro to my dish at the end and offered my guests, but did not mix in once cooked. Also at end, I added salt, pepper, garlic powder, and oregano. It was too bland without it. Fantastic the next day- will make again!

Classic Meatloaf

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2013
DELICIOUS! I adore your recipes- they always are so easy and yummy. I gave some to my friend at work and she asked what the special ingredient was because it had some zing to it! Of course, it was your signature the Cayenne! Very rich- but super good! I used the recipe from the shepards pie to make the mashed potatoes (used yellow) that had the sour cream and cheese in it too.

Red Beans and Rice

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2013
Wow- what a fantastic and easy recipe! I agree that the slow process on the stove is the way to go to make this recipe shine. I used goya small pink beans because that's what I had and I used powdered onion because I didn't have any fresh. Still came out fantastic! I had to add water like 3 times just to cover so they wouldn't dry out while cooking. Very delicious and a bit spicey which I love!

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2013
These were/are fab. I love the fact that they actually stay soft once cooked and stored - awesome. The only thing was I had to cook mine almost 15-20 minutes- I think that may be because I used heaping 2 tablespoon and put them in balls instead of plops like the recipe says. Oh well- still super good!!

Greek Butter Cookies

Super fab just out of the oven- I did balls using a tablespoon b/c I don't have cookie cutter (will invest!). They are OK left over- got pretty hard. Thus, why I can see why people rave about using these for xmas- or other hard/decorated cookies. Great for that, for sure!
