Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2014
The best recipe for 'American pancakes', as we Durchies call them. Ours are more like crepes, so we had to get used to the thicker pancakes from North America. Have used this recipe over and over again. Perfect amount for two people

Carrot Oatmeal Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2014
Followed the advice of others and replaced 2/3 a cup of oil with applesauce. Didn't have pineapple or cream cheese, but the muffins were very tasty without. Probably won't worry about it next time either. My muffins rose very nicely. Definitely using this recipe again.

Jam Thumbprints

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2014
Very good. Exactly what I was looking for, in that they were easy to make and tastes great. I put the jam in before baking them, and also omitted the nuts. Drizzles withGreat recipe.

Holland Boterkoek

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2014
I'm from the Netherlands, and can confidently say that this is the legit version of the boterkoek from back home. If you save some of the beaten egg, and brush it on the top before baking, it will turn beautifully golden.

Perfect Summer Fruit Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2013
Unreal. Always wanted to find a fruit salad that used a clear, citrusy-sauce to toss the fruit in. And this is it. Did not follow the recipe when it came to the fruits in the salad, since I'm living in Asia and have my own favorite fruits available throughout the year. The sauce, though, oh this sauce. The perfect blend of orange, lemon and vanilla - with a hint of sweetness. It brought out the fruit flavor and made it smell heavenly. Will - and already have - recommend it to cooks around the globe.

Double Chocolate Cookie Bars

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2013
Never been into recipes that do not require some sort of thought-process and adequate amounts of grey matter. When I bake it's from scratch. When I cook, I do the 'pinch-of-this' method. However. I made these, and they really are so. amazingly. good. I have made them many times since, and will continue to whip a batch together every so often for night shift. Do increase the Oreos and butter for the crust, and don't forget to chill before cutting/eating it.

Crispy and Creamy Doughnuts

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2012
Totally loved it. I used to make donuts quite a bit, but lost my favorite recipe. These donuts turn out exactly like the fluffy, soft donuts I used to make. Glad to find this recipe for normal yeast-donuts!
