Beef Stew II

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2007
Awesome stew recipe and quite easy to make. Could be better with potatoes or rice added. Husband loved it.

Antipasto Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2004
I served this recipe for a labor day party and it was a big hit. It held up well to be served even with dinner as a side the next day.

Berry Cobbler

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2004
This recipe was an AWFUL recipe if you were looking for a cobbler recipe. However if you are looking for a muffin or bread recipe this is a GREAT recipe. You will need more time than was designated, I needed 10 extra minutes. I also substituted frozen blackberries for the raspberries and the recipe still turned out ok.

American Potato Salad

Reviewed: May 31, 2004
This salad is the perfect traditional picnic salad. I suggest buying the smaller red potatoes to prepare this meal.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2004
The sauce on the fish was delightful. It was really cheesy which was great. I would recommend making a little bit more sauce than recommended, though.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2004
This recipe was AWESOME! I love pot pie and this recipe was just what I was looking for. My husband who hates peas and pot pie nonetheless, thought this recipe was great. I substituted the frozen peas with canned peas and the recipe still was great. Furthermore, I used low sodium fat free Chicken broth and fat free milk for a healthier twist, and the pot pie was still as tasty as ever.

Mahogany Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2004
This recipe is the perfect recipe for people who love chicken wings but can't handle all the hot sauce placed on them in different recipes. I love Buffalo wings but in the restaurant I often have to order them mild. This recipe was a good sweet alternative to Buffalo wings. I used mild chile sauce. Ortega makes a chile sauce which is made from sweet ancho chiles. Needless to say the recipe came out superb! The wings were sweet and tangy with a great ginger smell. My husband and I loved it!

Spinach and Mushroom Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2004
I'm not a big spinach fan but this recipe was great. The dressing has just the right amount of sweetness to balance the salty bacon. A very hearty salad.

Garlicky Appetizer Shrimp Scampi

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2004
This was a great light alternative to dinner. However I recommend making some extra marinade and heating it over the stovetop and serving it drenched over the shrimp.

Restaurant-Style Hashbrown Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2004
This recipe is great. I'm a potato fanatic. I changed the recipe a bit. I thought the potatoes were a little undercooked at only 35 minutes so I cooked them for 40-45 minutes and to give a little bit of a golden color and a bit more crunch I turned the temp up to 500 for the last 3-5 minutes to give a crunchy top layer. My husband loved it. Thanks!

Ramen Coleslaw

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2004
I thought this recipe was great. It has just the right amount of kick and is a good alternative to the traditional coleslaw that is high in fat and calories. I made the coleslaw without the almonds and it was still great and kept well in the fridge up to a day afterward. Thanks for the recipe.
