Thai Stuffed Tofu

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2013
So far this has been a disaster and I am so bummed. The tofu never browned?!?! And it is sticking to the pan and almost completely fallen apart. I don't understand this recipe AT ALL. No to mention we are about an hour and a half into making it.

Make-Ahead Vegetarian Moroccan Stew

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2012
Holy moley this is good. I definitely doubled all the spices and replaced the butter with coconut oil. Mine needed more liquid so I added about half a cup of coconut water which added a subtle hint. Beautiful stew. Thank you so much.

Curried Tofu Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2012
Seriously, who came up with this? It's such a strange mix of ingredients and they all work PERFECTLY together. I change nothing and make it exactly as it is written. I have probably made this recipe 5 times and every time it's even better somehow. So good, so smart and so good for you. Thank you!

Spiced Mixed Nuts

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2011
Made the suggested change of switching out the cloves for Cheyenne pepper: these things are delicious. They go beautifully on top of a salad with Gorgonzola cheese and raspberry vinaigrette!

Easy Baked Tempeh

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2010
I did not care for this. Maybe I made it wrong or maybe, after several attempts, I just don't like tempeh.

Baked Tofu Bites

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2009
I've made this recipe nearly a dozen times. It's truly a great one. I usually marinate the tofu overnight just to soak up the great sauce as much as possible. Rawk. Love it. And so do most non tofu people.

Orange-Ginger Tofu Triangles

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2009
I've made this several times and it is always a hit with vegetarians and meat eaters alike. I typically marinade the tofu in a large ziplock bag over night. Doing that really soaks up the orange and ginger. This recipe is good baked, grilled or in a noodle salad cold. Delish!

Chinese-Style Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2005
I thought the sauce for the broccoli was PERFECT! I served it warm and coupled it with the Thai Style Tilapia (another on this site) and the combination was terrific! Thanks so much.

Pralines, Coffee and Cream Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2004
I've made this recipe 4 times now and everyone flips over it. One thing you may want to consider: rather than spreading the frosting on the cake I split it evenly with sewing thread forming a top and bottom layer and spread the frosting in between, pouring the pralines directly onto the cake (otherwise the pralines melt the frosting!). When I serve it I put a small dolop of frosting on the side as well. This makes a much cleaner presentation. Make this cake. You will not be disappointed!

Honey Mustard Tofu

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2004
I thought this recipe was fantastic. I followed the advice of other reviews by cooking the sauce separately. To jazz it up a bit I added fresh chopped rosemary and thyme to the flour to give it an herb crust and cut the tofu into large tofu "steaks" rather than cubes. I lightly drizzled the sauce over the entire plate and then laid the tofu over pan seared garlic asparagus (another recipe that I got from this site!). I then drizzled a bit more sauce on top of the tofu. Enjoy!
