Mexican Cream Cheese Rollups

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2004
My husband made these and we thought that they were okay but a little too bland. He then made a second batch and added Chili sauce, cilantro and Mexican cheese. That did the trick and gave it the kick it was missing.

My children and husband really liked this punch. It was so good! Would not change a thing.

Ultimate Twice Baked Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2004
Made these with supper last night and everyone loved them. I made half with bacon on and half without due to some picky eaters in my house :0) but everyone really liked them a lot.

Japanese Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2004
These are absolutely wonderful Tracy. I made these for us when we watched the game last night and my husband was very impressed with the taste of the sauce. It tasted just like the sauce they use at our favorite place to eat. They were a little sticky, so just make sure to have a lot of napkins on hand. If I could rate this higher, I would!

Beefs Portuguese Style

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2004
This was an amazing dish! I agree with one of the other reviewers that you should make sure you use a good wine. I followed the directions exactly and would not change a thing. I cannot wait to make this for my sister and brother-in-law next time they are over. This one is a winner! My family really liked this dish!

Savory Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2004
This was very good. The next time I make it I will add two slices of swiss instead of one (per requuest of my kids), and as someone else suggested, I will mix the melted butter with the bread crumbs before putting it on the chicken. My family really liked this meal and the chicken was very juicy.

Jeannie's Famous Potato Hamburger Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2004
I made this exactly as the directions said and I did not really like this. I thought it was too bland and just not very good. I am giving it a three-star rating because my husband did like it but thought it needed something to give it a little more taste. I doubt I would ever make this again because half the family liked it and half did not.

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2004
I thought this was pretty good but I thought it would have had much more flavoring to it. I think if I would make this again, I would use seasoned bread crumbs instead of plain and add a little more garlic.

Garlic Bubble Ring

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2004
I also though that this bread did not have a lot of flavor. I wish I would have taken other peoples advice and used less butter because there was a lot of the mixture leftover. I probably would not make this again.

Seafood Lasagna I

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2004
My family thought this was so good. I listened to the advice of others and used ricotta cheese. I also substituted seafood that we liked and it turned out really good. I am warming it up for lunch today as my son already asked if he could have some. It does take awhile to put together but it was well worth it.

Mimi's Slumgullion

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2004
After reading all the great reviews, I doubled the recipe right away. That was a mistake because my one son hated the potatoes and the rest of us thought it was just okay. The flavor was good but it was not anything special.

Baked Corn I

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2004
We thought this was very good but I wish I would have listened to the others and put in half of a cup of melted butter instead of a cup. Next time I make it I will be sure to do that.

Snickerdoodles I

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2004
This recipe was fantastic! I decided to suprise my husband and boys after they got back from scouts. They thought these were great. My husband said that it reminded him of the recipe his grandmother had when he was a little boy and used to make for him. I followed the directions exactly and baked for 9 minutes. I had no problem whatsoever with sticking on the baking sheet and they were so moist inside. I did put them in a canister after they cooled off and vacuum sealed them so that they stay nice and fresh. Great Cookie recipe!

Skillet Chops with Mushroom Gravy

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2004
I had the same problem as some of the other people. I think the chops I used were way too thick. I ended up having to cook them for an additional 35 minutes to get them tender. The dish itself was good and the sauce with white rice was very good. If I make this again I will make sure that I do not use thick cut pork chops.

Creamy Hot Chocolate

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2004
My kids were playing outside in the snow and I decided they needed something to warm them up when they came in. I made this recipe and it got good reviews by all. The only thing that I changed was I did half water and half milk to equal the amount listed. Very creamy and very good!

Chicken Parmigiana

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2004
This was really liked by all. I did add Italian bread crumbs instead of plain and double coated the chicken like other people suggested. I also added two slices of mozzarella cheese per slice of chicken instead of sprinkling shredded on and I strongly suggest a bigger jar of sauce to be added if you like sauce.

Toasted Garlic Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2004
This was pretty good garlic bread that goes well with the chicken parmigiana recipe from this site. I let people add their own garlic salt to their bread as tastes varied in that department.

Country Chicken Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2004
We thought this was pretty good. My kids did not like the French fried onions even with me using less than the recipe called for. Next time I make this dish, I will do half with onions and half without. Personally, my husband and I really like the French fried onions! I took other reviewers advice and baked this for less than what the recipe called for and it was not mushy at all.

Seven Layer Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2004
This is good but you better have a sweet tooth if you eat it! The only thing I changed was that I used finely diced walnuts instead of chopped because my kids do not like nuts. They did not even know they were in there. My husband really liked the coconut on top. This is a dessert that you need a tall glass of milk with!

Garlic Green Beans

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2004
These were so good. I used frozen green beans and also kept the lid on to soak up the flavor. I also added garlic salt. I forgot to add the parmesan cheese at the end but this recipe was great as was.
