Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2008
I pounded the chicken thin before slicing and I coated the chicken lightly with flour as others suggested. I sauted in seasame seed oil instead of vegetable oil and I ended up doubling the sauce but only added 3 tbsp. of hot sauce. I also added some water chestnuts to the chicken and sauce and served over white rice.

Orange Snowman

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2008
I doubled the recipe and it was just enough for the 4 of us. Followed ingredient directions exactly but next time I will cut the sugar down to 1/4 cup or leave out completely as we thought it was a little sweet. Very orange dreamsicle tasting and refreshing.

Raspberry Custard Kuchen

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2008
We love this recipe. I have been making this for years which I got from a Taste of Home magazine. It is one of our favorites during raspberry season. I keep this recipe as written.

Baked Spaghetti

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2008
This was good but definetly needed more sauce. I also ended up browning the meat with garlic and Italian seasoning.

Easy Lemon Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2008
Very good and the lemon taste was excellent. The first batch that I made I dropped teaspoonfuls of dough into a bowl of confectioners' sugar as the recipe stated but they did not look very nice when they were finished baking. The second batch I rolled each tsp. into a ball and then rolled around in the sugar and that just worked better for me and they looked much nicer. Family enjoyed a lot!

Firecracker Salmon Steaks

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2008
I did not think the sauce was spicy as written but that was fine with me as it tasted wonderful. Did not have ginger root on hand so I substituted about 1/2 tsp. of ground ginger. Thanks

Beer Brats

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2008
Good but we could not really tell a difference from how I usually make mine which is boiling them in beer before transfering them to the grill. Still good though.

These were fantastic! I am actually going to make another batch today as there are only a few leftover and that is because I had to put a stop to my family eating them all in one sitting. Followed directions to a "T". Thanks

Happy Shrimp

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2008
I used whole wheat fettuccine noodles and tripled the sauce as I wanted to be able to soak up a crusty bread in it. I also used margarine instead of butter. Used the salt, pepper and cayenne pepper to taste until it was what we were looking for. Family loved. Thanks

Melt In Your Mouth Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2008
These were very good. I made the first batch at 8 minutes. They were a little too well done for our taste. The second batch I made at 6 minutes and boy were they "Melt in Your Mouth" good! Did not put in a press, just rolled in a ball and flattened which kept sticking to the fork even though I tried flour and then spraying it with Pam. Ended up just flattening with a bottom of a glass cup sprayed with Pam.

Sorry but this did not get high praises from my family. I followed directions to a "T" but all we could taste was the cloves. Sorry
