Cheesy Vegetable Soup I

Reviewed: May 31, 2012
Although the taste was good and I liked the idea of using non-processed cheese, I found it too rich and heavy. I think you could easily cut down on the butter and I used 1/2 milk and the rest half and half. You must follow the recipe's instructions in order or you end up with a buttery top to your soup (I boiled all veggies in the bouillon instead of in the thick sauce).

Sesame Chicken Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2012
Not our favorite. Husband liked it a lot. Kids did not. I added mandarin oranges to appeal to our children, but there was a weird after-taste and the vinegar content was too strong. It needed more color and probably needed to have the chicken cooked in the marinade/dressing.

Classic Mini Meatloaves

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2012
This was the most moist and flavorful meat loaf I've ever made. I followed exactly w/ the exception of adding mushrooms because I needed to use some fresh ones up. That may have altered the taste a little (for better), but I still think this recipe would be perfect without adding those anyway.

Blackened Salmon Fillets

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2013
Followed recipe using smoked paprika, limiting the cayenne for me, lots for my hubby. Simple, quick, and easy to cook. I did add tsp minced garlic to the butter (made this dish tastey but oily) and it turned out well. Better than I expected. Will do it again probably with these same adjustments.

Laura's Unbelievable Chicken and Pasta

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2014
Easy and quick; but after trying the sauce the way it was written, I had to embellish it quite a bit to get it to my liking. Way too bland as written. Suggestions: saute garlic and onion with spinach, add italian seasoning, along with 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese. It was a hit after that.
