Venison with Sherry-Mushroom Sauce

Holy Butter, Batman! It seemed like a lot of butter when I was cooking the recipe. The butter flavor was very noticeable. If I make this again I will use half as much and sprinkle on some salt. This reminded me of chicken marsala, only with red meat. This would probably go well with noodles.

Seven Layer Taco Dip

I made this for a superbowl party. It was so good! I ate the leftovers as a meal. The only thing I added was a few dabs of hot sauce and that gave just the right kick. I didn't put in any olives as I don't care for them. The next time I make it I think I will use a smaller tomato and a larger red pepper. Even if you're a meat lover like me, this dip doesn't need any. Try this recipe.

Chicken Marsala

If I make this recipe again I'll probably use half the butter and oil. This was just too much. I'll also nix the mushrooms. Normally I like mushrooms in dishes but they didn't take the marsala flavor too well.

Bourbon Sausage

The bourbon taste was too strong so I cooked on a little higher setting for an additional 10 minutes. These were pretty good, but nothing special. Not everything that's good has to be a 5-star dish.

Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Mushrooms

I like all these ingredients, but for some reason I don't like them all together. Can't get over the pancake smell either when I bring one to my face to eat.

Saucy Apple Pork Chops

I didn't care for the consistency of the sauce and the taste wasn't that great.I think I would like this better if apple juice or cider were used instead of applesauce, and not quite so much salty ingredients. They didn't seem to improve anything
