I got my first cookbook from a dollar store when I was probably 12 or 13. It was black and white like a coloring book. It was all seafood recipes. I would read it and dream of all the fabulous meals I would cook when I grew up. YES! Dreams do come true! Cooking is not a duty or a chore. It is an absolute pleasure. A mindful meditation. A grateful prayer time. How can you not be grateful to God when you are cooking?! You have food!!!! Your family has a delicious AND nutritious meal prepared just for them. You don't have to look at your kids and wonder what or if they will eat tonight! Be GRATEFUL God has supplied you with the ability, tools, and food to feed yourself, your family, and those he sends to you to feed. Cooking is our ministry. Amen! I enjoy gardening. I just pulled my first cucumber yesterday. Late crop. Our first garden together (I's married now!!!). I have a bunch of basil. Will be doing a nutless pesto soon. My soon has allergies to NUTS. Nuts!!!
My favorite things to cook

My cooking tragedies
Anytime I over salt food. I LOVE LOVE LOVE salt. But, I know... I know. I have to use a light hand.
