Strawberry Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2013
Did most of everyone's reviews - diced the strawberries, added 1/4 c. brown sugar, 3/4 tsp. cinnamon but then added 1/2 tsp of pumpkin pie spice and 1/2 tsp of vanilla bean paste. The husband said they were probably the best muffins he's ever had!

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2012
I made these with chuck roast & per other reviewers, sprinkled with onion & garlic powder and about a tablespoon of worchestire suace. Only took about 5 minutes to pour in French Onion Soup, Beef Broth and bottle of beer. Wish I used condensed onion soup as it calls for because it was lacking salt. This is a heavier meal so my husband and I were REALLY full afterwards. Maybe try half of a sandwich with a salad, especially if it's for lunch!

Rich Chocolate Frosting

Reviewed: May 26, 2012
After reading the highlighted review of Amy's husband Doug who requested a whole bowl of this frosting for his birthday, I was doubtful! My husband doesn't like frosting at all but he LOVED this!! It went SO well with the "Dark Chocolate Bacon Cupcakes" recipe on this website - try it!

Dark Chocolate Bacon Cupcakes

Reviewed: May 26, 2012
Turned out SO yummy with the "Rich Chocolate Frosting" also found on allrecipes. I tried it with 1/8th cup of bacon grease & the rest oil & also one batch with all vegetable oil. Both had bacon bits in it and had a great bacon taste. I think using all oil ensures it will be a bit more moist though. I agree with the other reviewers in making the bacon nice and crispy so people don't bite into anything too chewy. I put them in foil cupcake liners and they looked beautiful! I've gotten many requests to make them again!

Eggplant Parmesan II

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2011
YUM! Loved the cheesy-ness of it all - next time though I would cut into rounds & after baking them, I want to spoon sauce & sprinkle cheese on each round, not covering them fully so you still get the crunch of the bread crumbs. Also, I used panko (Japanese bread crumbs) - it made it light and delicious!

Coconut (Haupia) and Chocolate Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2011
OMG This pie is amazing. If anyone really knows what this pie is supposed to taste like and knows Ted's Bakery, you have to try this recipe out. It's super easy & all my Hawaii friends loved it! I used a vegetable peeler and put Trader Joe's dark chocolate shavings with organic coconut flakes that I toasted myself (about 5 or more minutes in oven on 350 deg) & the chocolate & coconut mixed a bit which some said tasted like a candy topping. YOU GOTTA TRY THIS! Out of the world :D!!!!

Flax and Sunflower Seed Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2011
Excellent like everyone else is saying! I put 1/2 c. ground flax seed & the whole amount of sunflower seeds plus 1 tsp. of high gluten flour and it turned out wonderfully! I definitely would suggest using the "DOUGH" cycle of your bread machine, then shaping the bread into a boule (round), let proof in warm oven for 20 minutes and baking it in your oven 350 degrees for 30 minutes on a pizza stone. The crust was perfect & my husband is LOVING IT!

Chocolate Frosting I

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2009
YES! De-lish! I put too much milk as others did but all you have to do is let is set in the refrigerator to thicken (you need at least 30 minutes to do so), or use as a glaze. I frosted 22 cupcakes w/half of the recipe & microwaved the rest to use as a fudge sauce over brownies & raspberries the next day, tasted sublime :)!

Whole Wheat and Honey Pizza Dough

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2009
The dough was as delicious as everyone says :)! I wouldn't say it makes 2 medium size pizzas per recipe but about 5 small round personal pizzas (or 1 medium). Definitely let the dough rise for 20-30 minutes total. And you don't need the wheat germ. Using more wheat flour instead of wheat germ is good :)!

Sweet Corn Tomalito

Reviewed: May 22, 2008
Much less time consuming if you just microwave it. I wet a paper towel, squeezed the excess water and put it over the 8x8 to create a steaming effect in the microwave. Only took 2-3 minutes after my failed attempts steaming over a boiling pot of water. Very tasty!!!

Pancakes

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2008
I accidentally added the oil without reading the reviews. But adding vanilla and baking powder in addition to the oil was good. I put more flour to make the pancakes thicker but they were a bit too thick. Definitely recommend adding chocolate chips & topping with cool whip & strawberries! Delicious!
