Well for starters, I'm only 21 years old. I have been helping my single mother with cooking since I was 10 years old, snce we had four mouths to feed. I have long sinced moved out on my own (at 17) but I still love to cook, and try new and different things every night.
My favorite things to cook
I really love to cook anything with chicken/beef and fresh vegetables. I just love that fresh taste and crunch!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mother always used to make beef stew in the slow cooker, so naturally I learned my own recipe. Others were, tuna casserole, grilling meats/veggies, falafel, hawaiian meatballs, and english muffin pizzas.
My cooking triumphs
I once made my Mom, who was interested in trying some homemade Asian cuisine, spicy beef with shrimp and bok choy, with a side of noodles (I cooked them in Tsing Tao beer). She, and my numerous cousins always ask me to make it for them. I also make my best friend's wedding cake, decorated it and everything.
My cooking tragedies
I once tried to make a coffee cake when I was 14, and it over flowed in the oven, causing the whole house to smoke up. And I'm still human so once every blue moon I'll accidently bake my cookies for too long.
