Whipped Cream

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2013
This recipe always works really well for me. Never had any issues with it. It's simple, light and perfectly sweet without being overly so, so it makes a nice addition to really dense or rich desserts.

Sweet and Spicy Turkey Sandwich

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2013
I thought this was fantastic, and my husband did too. We both thought it sounded a bit weird, but once we tried it, we were both hooked. It's a really interesting taste but it goes together fantastically.

Extreme Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2013
This is my favorite chocolate cake recipe. I made it for my husband's birthday and it turned out amazingly. I only make about half of the recommended amount of frosting, though, because even with two layers I ended up with a giant bowl of extra frosting.

Flourless Chocolate Cake I

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2013
I love this cake. I followed another reviewer's advice and used three eggs and three egg whites, and I also added in a bit of mint. It turned out to be absolutely delicious. I had a bit of trouble getting it out of the pan after it had set overnight, and once I did get it out, the bottom had melted a little bit. Fortunately I had taken it out of the pan with enough time before I needed to serve it, so I just smoothed out the top and put it back in the fridge. It stiffened right up again, so no serious issues there.

Banana Cream Pie I

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2013
I absolutely love this recipe. Whenever I make a few of these pies I always make extra pudding just because my husband and I love it so much. I never bake this pie - definitely only put it in the fridge - and I've found that adding some home-made whipped cream and pecans to the top makes it even more delicious. Easily the best banana cream pie I've ever had.

Yummy Sweet Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2013
This is one of my favorite recipes of all time. It's so light and perfectly sweet. I always make a huge batch (at least double the recipe) for holiday get-togethers and there are never any leftovers. I use yams instead of sweet potatoes though, I did a mix of the two once and using only yams just tastes so much better.

Oat and Herb Encrusted Turkey

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2013
This was okay. The turkey didn't get as much flavor as I was hoping for, even after I let it rest with the oat breading on it for a while.

Turkey Sausage and Egg Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2013
I thought this was pretty good. I didn't have peppers or mushrooms, but I added some spinach to the top and it tasted nice. It turned out a little soggy though, and the cheese topping just kind of peeled away as its own layer, so I had a hard time eating it in the same bite as the rest of the pie.

It's Way Better Than Thanksgiving Turkey Turkey

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2013
I thought this was an excellent recipe, though I did tweak it a bit. Since some of the reviewers said the veggies at the bottom were getting burned, instead of baking for 400 degrees for an hour before lowering the heat, I let it cook for about three hours at 300 degrees and I covered the roasting pan in tin foil. It came out perfectly cooked and incredibly moist with a lot of great flavor. The gravy is also superb, I would keep this recipe for that alone.

Delicious Rosemary Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2013
This is hands down the best bread recipe I've ever tried. It was so delicious, and my husband couldn't stop talking about how much he loved it (and he takes his job as the food critic in the house very seriously). I made a chicken and white cheese lasagna with it and whipped up a little dipping sauce of olive oil, butter, minced garlic and oregano, and it went perfectly with both. I didn't have yeast so I used a combo of lemon juice and baking soda, so they didn't get as big as I was expecting, but it was kind of nice because they turned out more like two large rolls which meant both he and I got our own little personal loaf.
