Sweet Pork Slow Cooker Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2013
DH & I just made this today in the crockpot. We were a little concerned about the flavour combination but it turned out amazing! It smelled soooo good while cooking, we could hardly wait to try it. You get - salty, sweet, spicy. We added about 2 lbs of pork chops, cut up and 1 lb of pork sausage meat (no casings). We used a can of crushed pineapple, not drained. Thisis a great recipe that we'll be making again. Give it a try, you won't regret it.

Simple White Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2012
I made this on the weekend for my cousin's 4yr old's birthday party. I made cupcakes instead, halved the recipe and got 8 cupcakes out of it. They were amazing! I used a can of Betty Crocker vanilla frosting blended with spreadable cream cheese and got rave reviews for them.

Rachelle's Chocolate Nut Torte

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2012
Oh, the memories this brings back! It's a sweet comfort food for me that makes me remember quality time with family. The bonus is - this is so good! The pastry is a cross between a cookie and shortbread, mmm. And the pudding layers are so smooth and creamy, ahhh. Yes, best to let it sit in the fridge for 24 hrs or so....if you can, because the flavours really merge together into something truly fantastic!

Ken's Perfect Hard Boiled Egg (And I Mean Perfect)

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2011
This is what I do. Put eggs into a pot of cold water. Heat to a rolling boil. Turn off the heat but leave the pot on the burner. Set timer for 20 minutes then remove from heat. Put eggs into cold water, crack the shells, let them sit for 1/2 hour or so. Peel shells and enjoy.

Focaccia Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2010
Not greasy at all! I added 1 small jar(10 oz)black olives(chopped), 1c. feta cheese and more herbs. I omitted the mozzarella on top and added more herbs instead. I let the dough rise for about 5 hours, shaped it, then let it rise again for another hour or so. Used my fingertips to make little dents all over the dough, maybe an inch apart, then brushed with oil and added more herbs. My husband really liked this. This recipe is EASY, you can add whatever you want to the batter and then put more on top.

All-Around Good Smoothie

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2008
I buy fat free yogurt in the single serving containers, then freeze them. I make my smoothie in the blender using one of these, 1/2c or more frozen fruit, 1/2c or more skim milk, splash of vanilla, 1-2 packets Splenda, and a scoop of protein powder. It turns out extra thick because the fruit and yogurt are both frozen to start. I drink it on my 1 hour comute to work.

Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2006
I don't use butter at all. Sometimes we use sharp cheddar, havarti, mozzarella, use a thin slice of tomato, and always use mayo. I use my George Forman Grill, make my tomato soup at the same time and never worry about burning my sandwich. Hubby loves them done this way.
