These really are excellent, and everyone loves them. I was a little worried about all of that brown sugar but if you can always adjust it to suit your tastes. I sure didn't bother threading them all on skewers. I put them in a 13x9 glass baking dish (so much easier to clean then a metal pan) sprinkled on the brown sugar, cooked until the bacon was crisp, turned them over, sprinkled more brown sugar and cooked that side. I can't figure out how some people couldn't get their bacon crisp, unless they had them squashed together on skewers and had them squashed together in the pan. I guess if I were having a party or taking them to one, then maybe I would use the skewers .. but I love shortcuts in the kitchen.
