Roasted Garlic Cauliflower

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2014
If you are a cauliflower lover, please try this recipe. It is absolutely delicious! This one definitely has been made over & over again in my house. I roast in a large baking dish so I can spread it in a single layer taking 15-20 minutes in my oven. When I take it out to broil it, I put it in a oven proof serving dish and sprinkle on the parmesan and parsley. Yum!!

Balsamic Roasted Pork Loin

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2014
This was excellent! Other than adding fresh garlic, I didn't deviate from the recipe, and it was wonderful. It was so flavorful, moist and tender ... and let's not forget easy. I did marinate it overnight and served it with Jasmine rice and a crisp salad. Nothing fancy, just a wonderful meal!

Tangy Slow Cooker Pork Roast

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2014
This was really good! The only thing I did different was to remove the roast and chill the whole pot outside for about 30 minutes. In my weather it got really cold, really quick, and hardened all of that fat, making it really easy to spoon it off. While it was chilling, I finished preparing dinner. Then I brought the juice to simmer in a large saucepan and thickened it with a cornstarch & broth mixture. It made a wonderful gravy to serve on top of rice along with a crispy salad. I will make it again, maybe adding some vegetables near the end of the cooking time. Yum!

Milk Chocolate Ganache

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2014
I love this! Sometimes dark chocolate can be a little "much" This seemed so much lighter in taste. I love how versatile it can be ... piping, drizzling or spreading. Thanks Aqua, I will be using this over and over!

This is definately a part of our Thanksgiving tradition! My daughter, daugther-in-law and I gather in the kitchen to cook Thanksgiving dinner and sip on mimosas. I couldn't imagine Thanksgiving without these. It sure makes it more fun, haha ha.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2013
You really should try this one. I love anything pumpkin and with all of the great pumpkin recipes here, I never got around to trying this. Pumpkin bread didn't really sound like anything special to me. After baking I had a small piece and thought it was pretty good. The next day when I had another piece, I was dumbfounded. The flavor had improved so much overnight, I couldn't believe it. Now I know why over 5700 people rated this a 5 star recipe. Yum!

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2013
They were absolutely delicious Jaq, thank you! I read many reviews and was afraid they would be burnt on the outside and mushy on the inside. I decided to turn the heat down, then up again and I shouldn't do that. The second time I cooked them I followed the directions, although I didn't cook them as long as suggested because I prefer firmer vegetables. As it turned out, I loved the slightly charred taste. Mine were not mushy, burnt and most of all, not mediocre. Check some of the photos and see how they all look like they are cooked just a little different, according to everyone's personal taste. I will never cook them any other way, unless it would be to cook them on a hot grill. Yum!

Famous Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2013
I loved it! I followed all the suggestions here and used a smaller glass baking dish and cut down on the butter. I jazzed up the spices and used the juices, chicken stock and a little cornstarch and made some gravy to serve on rice. Along with some steamed asparagus and a crisp salad it was a great meal!

Chocolate Covered Bacon Strips

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2013
My 10 year old grandson asked me to make him some chocolate covered bacon. I have heard of it, but have never tried it. Who knows where my grandson heard of it? I'm making it this week, so we'll give you our updated stars by the end of the week. Almost anything covered in chocolate is good, ha ha. Thanks for posting Denise! *** Back again, several months later. Just wanted everyone to know how much my grandson loved his chocolate covered bacon. I've made it a couple more times, and everyone loves it.

Marinated Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2013
I followed the recipe pretty close, except, when I doubled the sauce I didn't double the cinnamon. I also didn't pack down my brown sugar, I was afraid it would be too sweet. I was out of gas for my grill and not enough charcoal for the other one, so I had to improvise on the cooking method. I seared it in a hot, cast iron pan and finished it in the oven. I served it with steamed rice, green beans and sliced tomatoes from the garden. Yum! Because of the rich flavors of the sauce, I didn't thicken it too much, just a little. I can't wait to try it on the grill.

Cake Balls

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2013
The grandkids just loved them! I dipped half in white chocolate and half in dark chocolate, then drizzled them with opposite flavored chocolate. Even the adults loved them especially since you can have just one if you want. The little kids liked sprinkles on top. Your imagination can really go wild with all the different cake, frosting and decorating combinations. Thanks Alison!

Herald's Impossibly Easy Cheeseburger Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2013
Fast, easy & good! It's no big deal to spice it up a notch with whatever you like best. The next time I make this, I will try a few of the other reviewers suggestions. Maybe tomatoes with chilies, more spices, a little frozen corn, a few black beans and maybe even try the cornbread topping. This is a great recipe when you really aren't in the mood for spending a lot of time in the kitchen ... just serve a little salad on the side.

Award Winning Chili

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2013
Excellent! I was a little skeptical of the carrot, bacon and A1 sauce. We all have our chili recipes and I of course thought, carrots don't go in chili. I urge you to try this recipe as is. All the flavors blend together beautifully and it is now my only chili recipe. I don't make chili weekly, so it's worth a little extra effort. I did thin it with a little tomato juice (that's what I had open in the fridge) as it was a tad to thick for me. Thank you Jennifer!

Better Than Sex Cake II

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2013
YUMMY! I make other cakes that require adding some kind of filling inside the cake. To make it easier, I bought a plastic container, similar to a ketchup squeeze bottle. I cut the top down to make the opening larger. I filled my bottle with the milk and caramel mixture, took my time and easily filled the holes in the warm cake. I saved some of the milk-caramel mixture to spread on the top to make the candy stick to the cake. You can find toffee pieces in the stores making it easier than smashing up candy bars. I poked holes in the warm cake with a wooden spoon handle and followed a review saying to use the whole can of milk and whole jar of caramel and it was just too wet for me. The second time I watched the video, and used the correct amounts and it was delicious! I frosted with Cool Whipped Frosting. It's sturdier than plain Cool Whip and holds up well when sitting out for a bit, unlike whipped cream. I think I need to save this cake for very special celebrations because it's not exactly lo-cal. Thank you Angelady, I will keep this recipe forever!

Peanut Butter Fudge Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2013
Yum! This was so good! I did stir 3/4 of a cup of peanut butter chips in the warm batter, so they were slightly melted. This way they weren't hard little chips, just sort of soft and marbled. I warmed the peanut butter a bit and spread a very thin layer on top and quickly spooned on the chocolate frosting and it spread easily over the peanut butter. Thank you marbalet for a quick, easy, home-made and delicious cake.

Banana Cream Pie I

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2013
It's a keeper! When I first read the reviews, I thought "Oh no, everyone is all over the place on this one." Even the submitter wrote flour in the recipe and at the bottom of the recipe a footnote says she really uses cornstarch! Why not just say cornstarch? Oh, what to do? I decide to follow the recipe but not bake it at all. Good choice! It was excellent. *I'm editing already. I would suggest you serve real whip cream on the side, otherwise it only takes a few minutes for it to start running all over the place. Cool-whip won't do that but a lot of people prefer real whipped cream. Thank you so much Ruby.
